Hi,

We are running Exch. 2K.
At the office we use Outlook 2K, at home, some users connect to their
mailbox via OWA.
some of them can send a new mail but can't reply or forward to a mail, the
"SEND" buttom doesn't seem to work.
Do you have the same problems, did you solve it? how?

thankx,

Dominique

You can and should use HTTPS.

or Call your ISP and tell them they have a problem with caching outgoing
HTTP traffic.
NetApp NetCache are the worst offenders at this.

Do you have any more info/details on this problem?

I have suddenly developed this problem trying to access my employer's
Exchange server over the Internet from my home LAN. However, I have a web
server successfully running on my LAN which is externally visible, so
wouldn't that mean that outgoing HTTP traffic from my LAN is working?

I'd appreciate any references for more reading, if you have some.

TIA,
Lavie

Hi Meron,
you need to call the ISP, or use HTTPS.

I discovered that by using my ISP's proxy server, I could get it to work.

I have no reason to otherwise use their proxy server, so that I regard this
as a bit annoying - but not a major tragedy.

As we are both in IL:
All the ISP use NetAPP Netcache with their DSL service.
Kavei Zahav used to Cacheflow
The NetCache tries to HTTP POST the OWA email for you with out your
credentials and the service replies HTTP 401 Access Forbidden.

The only ways around this are:
1) call ISP ask them not to cache you OWA Server
2) use HTTPS so they can not cache your email.
3) you can reply offline and I will give you more info.
