I think he was talking about the change from the theatrical to the
home-video release: The line in "Arabian Nights" that runs something like
"they cut off your ear if they don't like your face; it's barbaric, but, hey,
it's home" is changed to something a little less potentially offensive.
It's irksome to know a change has been made, I guess.

I'm going to step in here and hazard a guess. Due to the complaints of
various Arab groups, the lyrics of the song, ARABIAN NIGHTS were modified
to remove the phrases: "They'll cut off your ear if they don't like your
face, it's barbaric, but hey, it's home!"

Although the TV show has different lyrics in its theme song, I chose them
from Howard Ashman's original lyrics because I thought they better suited
an ongoing series of Arabian Nights Adventures.

Um, I'm a fan of the movie(s) and the show "Aladdin"--out of
curiosity, what p-c "changes" between the movie and the show offend you?

Is it because the show has actually taken the stuff from the movies
and expanded on it, taking it in new directions? No, that's not 'p-c'.
That the parrot is with the good guys? Adequately explained in
the D2V "Return of Jafar" and expanded upon on the show, but still not 'p-c'.
That Abu is often drawn off-model? Well, animation mistakes happen
and, dammit, monkeys are hard to draw! ;-) Still not 'p-c'.
Please, I'm genuinely curious, since I don't see them, and I like
to think of myself as reasonably observant--what p-c changes were made
to the Aladdin storyline from the first movie that turned you off to it?
