Dirk, making mistakes again.

Dear reader,

Here is a link to one of Dirk van de moortels "Immortal Fumbles" pages
where he attempts to ridicule one of my posts.

He highlights the words "space" and "discrete", because he believes
spaces cannot be discrete.

Discrete spaces in fact do exist, as any competent mathematican can
tell you.

After I revealed Dirks malicious ignorance on usenet, mistake making
Dirk responded by changing his story and stating that discrete spaces
have no place in quantum theory. Here is a quote:

"HAHAHAHAHA, I'm probably the last one in the
world who needs links to show me that mathematicians
use discrete spaces :-)

But last time I looked quantum theory didn't use a
discrete space for its setting. When and where was
the last time you looked?"

But as usual, Dirk made a mistake.

Discrete spaces have long been investigated in Quantum Theory and it
is not a fumble of any sort to investigate them further, as any
competent Physicist can tell you.

Dirk just archives posts which are the butt of their own self-ridicule,

To my knowledge, dirk has never made such a statement. Your post is
not absurd for any reason having to do with spacetime being discrete
or not. It has to do with your entire reasoning in arriving at that
conclusion, which _is_ ludicrous and patently false.

When have you _ever_ looked? Quantities like p and x have continuous
eigenvalues. The fact that those quantities are not simultaneously
well-defined does not mean that spacetime is discrete. Spacetime may
be fuzzy, but that is somewhat different than discrete.

Why? Did he fail to include a post of yours in his list that you think
he should have included?

You have misconstrued what is in those articles. Saying that physicists
have considered the possibility that spacetime is discrete, is true.
Saying that discrete spacetime is part of quantum theory is not true.
Connecting discrete spacetime to quantum mechanics as you did in your
post bordered on bizarre.

Knowing Dirk, maybe he expects the solution written in the form exp(i*pi*n) with
n >= 0 and integer. But he will not tell and will have laugh about it. :-)

To be precise, the square roots of 1 in C are exp(i* n * pi)
where n>=0 and integer. :-)
