FOR 3 HOURS...I cannot believe nobody in the Clear Channel complex heard
this going on. What in the hell is wrong over at Clear Channel???
What makes you think that anyone there wants to listen to it?

Gee. With stereo you could use the balance knob if each show was on one
channel. <g>
Is there a number you can call after hours? Yahoo Yellow Pages lists these
numbers.
Clear Channel Communications
(415) 543-6048 35 Stillman St # 203
San Francisco, CA
Clear Channel Radio
(415) 268-9270 505 Sansome St
San Francisco, CA
One might call the KFBK 24-hour newsroom in Sacramento, except there are no
after hours numbers listed in the directory.
Ted.

(916) 924-3901...which has been listed in at least part of the phone
book for some time. I say "part" because I think a couple of years or
so ago, the number disappeared from the Sacramento White Pages... but
it was still in the Yellow Pages.
I don't know what the KFBK night/overnight operator/news guy would be
able to do about KNEW, though...I don't know if they have any 24 hour
contact numbers handy, and and I don't know how much of KNEW is
actually run out of 1440 Ethan Way (I suspect no equipment, for one).
For that matter, I don't even know who's doing overnights at KFBK now,
since Steve Michaels left for Chico.

America Live was cancelled several weeks ago. It was supposed to continue with
new shows until the end of this month, but perhaps they canned it earlier than
expected.
The syndication firm cited a lackluster response and disappointing station
affiliate list in making the decision.
Well, clear channel owns so many TV and radio
stations. As our anonymous Aussie friend mentioned
in a post that did not get out very far, Clear Channel
owns 31 radio and 6 TV stations in Northern
California. They have to many stations to manage that
something like that is bound to go wrong. Counting
Sacramento, San Francisco, Eureka, and Sacramento,
they own 31 radio and 6 TV stations.

Well, if Arden ever gets incorporated as a city, which
some people would like to do, Arden would become the
city of license for KFBK, becuase the station's location
would put it just inside the city limits if Arden were ever
to be incorporated as a city.

Your post got out just fine, Chuck. We were just too busy laughing at you.

You figure that one person runs the entire empire, right? What, praytell,
do the other people on the payroll do all day? Tiddly winks?

That isn't how city of license is determined. But you know that already.

I've seen you list of supposed Clear Channel stations. Nearly half are
actually owned by others. But you already know that.
It was much too quiet in here for the last few days.
Ted.

We had a situation in the Louisville market in the 1980s where WRKA,
licensed to the suburban city of St. Matthews, was forced to move its main
studio *twice* because the offices it was occupying were in unincorporated
areas (adjacent to St. Matthews) that were annexed by Louisville.

Thankfully, that wouldn't happen now under current rules.
