I have been compiling statistics of the games and players of Finnish
national teams (ultimate, of course) since the very early days of
international ultimate (early 80s that is...). The work was started by
Juha Jalovaara and myself years ago, but this fall I was finally able
to put the material on Web. Most of the statistics pages are
translated to English (change log is in Finnish only, sorry).

There is still plenty of data missing (except on the mixed division
and girl junior division, thanks to the young age of these divisions).
Especially data from 80s is spotty.

Does anyone on this forum happen to have access to game information in
the form of tournament archives, national association's newsletters,
tournament newsletters, diary, game scores, etc. which could help me
set up straight the number of games (and game scores) for the Finnish
national squads in each tournament.
I am reaching for player information through Finnish channels (but in
case you have a after-game team photo with the Finnish team, I would
appreciate you to inform me on this too).

Really problematic tournaments are all the Scandinavian Championships
tournaments in the 80s. And at least:
In Open div: EUGC in Paris 1980, EUGC in Obertraun 1982, WUGC in
Colchester 1986, EUGC in Cologne 1987
In Womens div EUGC in Obertraun 1982, EUGC in Cologne 1987
In Junior div WUGC in Luzern 1984

If you have _any_ tidbits for me, please contact me directly using
email or the form on the site.

How about a statistic of bullshit fouls the Finns call. I'm not
stereotyping here but there are several of Finn players that are just
plain cheating fucks.
I do have a pic of the US/Finn mixed from Heilbron if your interested.
I can also put my hands on a pic taken by the tourney with a Finn
player blatantly and irrefutable fouling one of our players. When
shown the picture by a Finn he denied it and said the pictured was not
accurate. Yeh right.
