Except it's called "Aladdin and the King of Thieves".

But we still don't know the release date right?
*sigh*

I'm pretty sure it is still on for this year -
but is it being moved from its initial May date?

Late summer is the latest I've heard.

I believe you are incorrect on this, Harold. Everything I've heard
is that this will be another direct to video release.

Wow, the producer/director is reading!! What awesome power. The final
product is in this person's hands....

So, I don't suppose there's any chance to include a little bit more
background on Rajah in there? I mean, you have to admit that the
treatment of this noblest of tigers has been pretty lax.

I guess you can't blame a cat for trying...

I'm afraid Rajah gets even shorter shrift in the new film. Aladdin
must leave Agrabah to search for a family connection that he thought
was cut forever so there's not much tiger time.

Besides, those darn stripes are hard to inbetween!!

I have a few questions. Is the soundtrack going to be released? Who
wrote the songs, and does Robin sing in this one? Who is the villan?
Thank you very much.

Why don't you guys use some of the songs Howard and Alan wrote for the
original Aladdin score, they are great just buy the "The Music Behind the
Magic".

At this time there's no soundtrack planned for release. Don't ask me
why not, I don't know. For a time there was a notion they might
release a CD of the songs from all three Aladdin movies but I think
that's gone by the wayside.

Robin sings "Party in Agrabah" and "Father and Son." We're pushing to
finish the latter for inclusion in the Topsy Turvy Sing-a-long coming
out early this summer.

Villain? It's all in the definition. The most obvious opponent is
Sa'luk who wants to be the leader of the forty thieves.

Disney is upgrading it's website. I hope to get some clips on there
well ahead of the video release.

A couple of reasons:

First, those songs are so story specific that they would really hem you
in when it comes to characters and storytelling. However, I think
"Proud of Your Boy" is possibly the most moving ballad the team ever
wrote. In many ways it fit the theme of our new story. But...

Secondly, although there's no binding legal agreement that I'm aware
of, we feel that we should not set out to rewrite Howard Ashman's work.
I think Alan feels the same way.

I applaud this decision; I would not want to see Ashman's work changed
either.

Is "Proud of Your Boy" available in any form? I would like to hear it -
or at least read its lyrics.

Thanks,

Indeed!! I abosolutely LOVE "High Adventure" off the "Original Score."

Spots?!?!?!? Are you trying to turn me into a leopard? Or a cheetah?
Why, I never cheated in my life... I thought you knew I was an honorable
tiger... I likes my stripes just fine, and it's such a pity that they're
hard to animate... *I* never had any problem with them.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to hope for increased budgets for the Aladdin
series, then, just to see myself on the little screen a little more...

Yes those songs cannot not go unused forever, the used "Human Again" from
Beauty and the Beast which was cut in the broadway musical.
