I'm looking for the title of a old fantasy book.
The storyline is something like this
There are 4(?) main characters. An Archer, female with some telekinesis
of some sort. A Warrior. A guy who's almost unbeatable with a sword.
A woman who has some psychic powers who usually shields the group from
detection and another guy.
They're on a quest to overthrow some bad guy god type person is about
all I can remember.
Does that sound vaguely familiar to anyone. I know that I'm not being
very specific and that the type of story is very popular
Anyone?
Ask and thou shalt receive.
It's actually two books. "Blade of the Poisoner" and "Master of
Fiends", by Douglas Hill of "Deathwing over Veynaa" fame.

<chuckle> I was just thinking it sounded rather like an AD&D campaign I was
once involved in.....
Jeh :-)

Ah, that would not be the one where you all ended up in the river.
Sorry, I was just telling my friends about that today. :-) They were
all heartily amused.

Thanks very much
/me *blink*blink*'s
/me looks at the headers
Nope, not a cross-post
/me goes back to the blinking thing again.
I think you are thinking of the Belgariad Series by David Eddings,
beginning with Pawn Of Prophecy, Search Amazon.com for it.
Either that or DE is even *less* original than we thought....

What these books have conclusively proven is that the diffence between
men and women is exactly 38 pages.

Hmph. It's amusing *now*! When I was drowning in a mail shirt after being
pushed off the boat by a fellow party member it was not so amusing. Of course, I
took heart in the fact that said fellow party member was shot by another party
member who was subsequently pushed over board by *another* party member.....
There are *still* bad feelings about that campaign.......
Jeh :-)

Who's the telekinetic archer chick? Did I miss something? (The rest
is moderately spot on, though.)
Okay I know that it was not DE plus there was no blue stone(whether the
stone itself was blue or not shall remain unanswered by me) in it I
think.
There were only 4 people on the quest plus all of them die kinda and at
the end the last dude with his neck broken and almost dead summons the
good guy god who basically just zaps all bad guys resurrects all good
guys and says okay now leave me alone.
I think I must have missed this female telekenetic archer person in the
Belgariad. I wouldn't exactly say there are just 4 main characters either.

Or maybe somebody is copying him. That wouldn't make DE unoriginal

Didn't I already answer this? :-)
The good guy god who Cryltaur Tabbetang summons at the end is called
Iridial. I can recite the spell he uses if you like :-)
For some reason, that duology[1] is burned into my memory; it wasn't
even very good....
Aq.
[1] two books?

My excuse is that I parsed
"An Archer, female with some telekinesis"
as
"An Archer, a female with some telekinesis"
try reading it then :-)
