The problem: I only hear the reverb effect in the left channel. I have
checked all the obvious things (output ports, pan settings, automation data,
etc.) and can find no reason for this behavior.
Am I missing something, or did I encounter a bug?

Try changing the "LinkSendPan" command.
LinkSendPan was first introduced in 6.01(in conjunction with the
Stereo effects sends feature). In 6.01 it was in AUDMM.INI. In the
most recent version of Cakewalk it is in TTSAUDDX.INI under [WAVE].
The default is "1", which means the pan going out to every effects
loop will always be the same as the track's pan. (Note that the first
effect in a loop must support stereo input).
LinkSendPan=0 will disconnect the channels pan from
the aux sends, providing more desirable results in certain
circumstances.

Could this problem be caused by having too many audio tracks? I did have
quite a few. I tried archiving all audio tracks except for the one with the
reverb effect but it did not work. I also tried creating a new project and
copying just the offending track to the new project, then duplicating the
settings. I still had the same problem.
Thanks for your help...

Sorry it didn't help. I'll investigate more deeply for you. Please
provide me with an exact example, so I can see/hear the undesirable
behavior first hand. If possible use a CW demo song. I have a lot of
the different plug in packages installed so I will be able to test
with CW and other effects.

All we want to do is the normal thing of simply panning the track
anywhere in the field and have the effect independently panned anywhere
in the field. Right now, is there anyway to do this in CWPA? If not,
is there any reason for it not being?

Didn't we just go through this a month or so ago and come to the
conclusion we could not provide the exact type of pan operation you
would like to have? If I am mistaken, please provide your example and
I will check it out. If I am not mistaken, I'm sure Product Management
followed the thread and will give it proper consideration.

I'm not the only one wanting to have a track on one side and the effect on
the other. I would just like to hear you say CW would like to have the
ability too rather than whatever it is (which I haven't quite figured out
yet) you are now trying to do with the Send Pans currently.

Of course. I should have wrote "the conclusion _8.04_ could not
provide the exact type of pan operation..." Hopefully PM is
considering your improvement suggestions for future versions.
