Fuelled by tax cuts and spending, the US economy is riding high - but

At around 12.40pm on Wednesday the key index on the Nasdaq, the
technology heavy stock market, nosed triumphantly above the 2,000
mark, the first time it had done so in almost two years.
A day later, the Dow Jones industrial average made it above the 9,900
mark for the first time since May 2002. The 10,000 barrier is now in
sight. The last time it was breached was in March 1999, a defining a
moment for the internet driven bull market of the Clinton era.
