Hello.

I'm trying to determine the dimensions of a frame of super-8 film, but using
the internet as my research tool, can't find a clear consensus.

Authoritative sounding websites ("Film Formats Since 1903!") list different
measurements, and those differences do not seem to be due to a distinction
between in-camera and in-projector. Ugh.

Is the correct size of a single frame of super-8mm film, in-camera

0.224-inches wide X 0.163-inches high

5.69-mm wide X 4.14-mm high

aspect ratio 1.37

?

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

Hi,
Lipton says 224 to 166 thousandths of inches on th film itself. I think he
has kodak as his source.

Hi Steve,
While there are subtle variations among the different manufacturers of
Super 8mm camera equipment, below follows the ANSI standards for this format.
