I haven't tried those, but from all the talk about them, I think
I shall.

There are 2 favorites I have: GravWars and SpaceWar. They are
both 2 player games, but they are endless fun! I like SpaceWar alot
because of the fact that you can fight over the modem, even while you
are chatting!

There's been a bit of chat lately about Llamatron and the best PD
games. There's two (one really) PD games I would concider at least near
the top. They are Ball and MegaBall. If you haven't tried them, do! Very
addictive. MegaBall is actually an upgraded version of Ball. Both are
Blockoff (me thinks) type of game. I've had a many sleepless nights
because of these.

Where can I get them? I didn't see them on ab20.

Well, I don't have access to FTP. So I can't get it there. I have a
friend who does, though, and I'll see if he can upload it there for you.

My all time favorite PD game is Grav Attack.

Should be on ab20 in amiga/games

My favorite of all time is MechForce, by Ralph Reed. Interlaced hi-res
graphics, compelling, accurate gameplay, elements of role-playing, what more
could a MechWarrior want?

I hope the commercial version comes out soon.

Some time ago, I posted a similar message, and received a couple of very
thoughtful replies from people who had known the programmer. They wrote to
explain to me why it was that he had never cashed my check, nor sent me the
documentation that contains the level bonuses.

I would still love to get a hold of said documentation. Is there someone out
there who would be willing to take the time to xerox it and mail it to me? I
would be willing to reimburse you for your time and trouble.

P.S. Just to avoid any confusion, the original programmer has passed on,
so I am not asking anyone to do anything immoral.

I found SpaceWar on wuarchive.wustl.edu (128.252.135.4) in the
comp/binaries/amiga directory , so youwill only have to upload
GravWars. Thanks, I appreciate it.

[about MegaBall - Fred Fish 477]

I highly recommend MegaBall - I usually don't like real time arcade type
games but this one changed my outlook! Bravo Ed & Al Mackey!!!

GravWars is alot like Artillery. You and an opponent each have a starship
that is in a field of planets and black holes. You have to input a firing
angle and power of the shot to try and hit you opponent. The neat thing is,
gravity plays wonders on you shot. We especially like to play with the
black holes.

SpaceWar is alot like the old arcade game of the same name. One player
is the enterprise and the other is the klingon. You have a sune in the middle
of the playfield that has gravity. You must then fly around and try to shoot
the other player. Very addicting over the modem!

Speaking of PD games, I urge interested users to try out my PD game which I put
on ab20.larc.nasa.gov. It's called Zombie Mall and can be found in zombie.lzh
(or was when I put it there 2 months ago).

It's a graphics strategy game with sound effects and animation, and it has
zombies and a mall! What more could you ask?

Some of the best games are not PD, but Shareware, here are a couple I remember
thinking were pretty good but I never bought them cause I played them maybe
once or twice. GravAttack was really cool except for the wait between boards.
Drip is arcade quality. Car(s) was cool and is on a fishdisk. LlamaTron is
excellent. Amoeba Invaders was pretty good. Meteoroids (I think that was its
name) was pretty fun. Amegarace was good. Dungeon (the take off on Dungeon
Master) was good..not sure how legal it is though. Antep was a good Ultima
Clone (cept no music). !'m sure there are others I have left out, but I
can't remember their names :)
