Guys,

I've cut and pasted this from the Newcastle newsgroup. Quite an interesting
read.

==============================
They were guilty AND they were set up.

This is Tabloid Eric, calling direct from the newsroom at one
of the redtops. Or is it an agency. Doesn't matter anyway.

Everyone now knows that Newcastle United were the team
employing most of the footballers recently accused of rape,
and that Carlton Cole of Charlton was the player who
allegedly had consensual sex with the woman first.

If you haven't heard that

Lee Bowyer
Jonathon Woodgate
Kieron Dyer
Darren Ambrose
etc.

have been worried over the last few days, you probably
haven't seen the letters sent out by their lawyers. Either
that or you haven't been able to decrypt the Sun's use of the
word "skylark" when they mean "magpie".

What most people don't know is that while the players
ARE as guilty as hell, they were ALSO set up.

The woman was a prostitute, and not only did she get paid
for entertaining Carlton Cole, but COLE got paid to encourage
his pals from Newcastle to rape her.

Check out who owns the Grosvenor House Hotel. It's the
Granada Group. As you may know, they are very heavily involved
in the sports business. Look carefully at what exactly they are
involved with. Their chairman Charles Allen was a big knob in
the Manchester Commonwealth Games, and he's also a big knob in
the London Olympic Games bid for 2012. They are huge in the
northwest of England (media, sports, leisure) and in promoting
Manchester United in particular, in cahoots with ITV and
big Irish 'Cooltown mafia' money of which you have probably
heard.

You won't be surprised that they are being VERY helpful
to the police on this one. EXTREMELY helpful. In fact they were
helping with the EVIDENCE even BEFORE THE CASE WAS OFFICIALLY
REPORTED TO THE POLICE. What more do you need to realise this
was a set up?

Here's exactly how helpful. ONCE THE RAPES HAD TAKEN PLACE,
the Newcastle players found that the hotel management had
DEACTIVATED the electronic card keys to their rooms,
forcing them to CHECK IN in the lobby so as to get back into
their rooms using replacement card keys. Have you ever heard of
such a thing happening by accident? Usually hotel card-key
systems don't fuck up, any more than you get all the lifts
stopping working, or the kitchens running out of milk. Because
it causes one hell of a mess and pisses people off. Anyway, this
meant that the hotel had a record of exactly which Newcastle
player was staying in which room. This is important because the
woman was going to describe the rooms (she was in more than one
of their rooms) and the corridor, and because a few of the
Newcastle players didn't take part, they weren't supposed to,
and they will be kept out of it. Previously the hotel management
hadn't had this information, since the rooms had been booked
in block, and the players did not check in individually.
(No guys, they don't give their name and booking number at the
desk, like you and I do). And remember, this deliberate
deactivation of the keys so as to gather evidence took place
BEFORE the rape was even officially reported to the
police. What a giveaway. Sources tell me it took place when most
of the players were elsewhere, having a post-rape snort.
Strangely enough, the key to Cole's room worked fine
(although the evidence will probably be sorted to say otherwise).

A bobby tells me there will be two possibly three arrests.
Bowyer and Woodgate are working on their false evidence with
the help of "experts", just as they did when they were tried
for beating shit out of a student a few years ago. It may or may
not keep them out of jail but it won't save their careers. The
cases will probably eventually be dropped, but don't bet on
Newcastle for the premiership. Nice for the mums and dads of many
of the reserves of course. Bowyer, Woodgate, and Dyer know they've
been set up. They may be stupid, but they aren't THAT stupid. But
even if the case isn't dropped, it's decided that the woman will
give evidence, and the trial proceeds all the way through (which at
the moment looks unlikely), there is NO WAY that are they going to
start attacking Granada in the media or in the courtroom - they're
not that fucking foolhardy! They think they're the dog's bollocks
when they're putting down hotel staff etc. but if they earn 100
times as much as an average fan, they earn only 1% of what Charles
Allen or Dermot Desmond do (or Dezzie's pal Philip Green who sells
cheap sports schmutter), and they prefer their brogues
crocodile-skin rather than concrete. Get my meaning?

There was something on C4's 7 O'clock news about how the press are being so
well behaved over this. I can see now why that's going to be a bad thing.
Without any source of "real" gossip, we've got to put up with fucking
conspiracy theories.

Never let minor details like that get in the way of a good conspiracy theory

... he wasn't pulled off - there was an almight scramble in the box later on
... Seaman was all over Butt shortly after he'd made himself big ...

Funnily enough pretty much every footie NG is now "down for maintenance", my
forum of choice (official Bristol City forum) was as good as free from any
discussion of what happened (being from Division 2 we rarely give a damn
about the Premiership) but still its now gone. BBC football forum is down,
Rivals boards are down.

Pretty much the only "free" place to discuss matters is usenet now, and they
can't shut that down!
