11/ 4 - PRE-EMPTED for a Simpsons repeat

11/11 - Fox NFL doubleheader day, so no episode in the Eastern and
Central time zone; Mountain and Pacific time zone stations
will air "Amazon Women in the Mood"
*** In San Francisco, thanks to the Raiders game being shown on KTVU,
Futurama will air at 11:00 PM

11/18 - Another Fox NFL doubleheader day; stations in the Mountain
and Pacific time zones will get "Anthology of Interest I"

11/25 - Fox is airing "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace"; I
assume that, with commercials, it runs for three hours, so
Futurama would be pre-empted that night

12/2 is yet another Fox NFL doubleheader day
12/9, which is a CBS NFL doubleheader day, is scheduled to be the
season premiere - of course, in the Eastern and Central time zones,
those Fox stations showing the Washington-Arizona game will get the
episode "in progress"; each station get to choose which game to air,
except:
Futurama on time (* means there is a slight chance the episode will
be joined in progress if the local team's game is blacked out):
Atlanta*, Buffalo*, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas*, Detroit,
Green Bay*, New Orleans, New York, Pittsburgh*, St. Louis*, Tampa*
Futurama probably, but not definitely, on time: Kansas City
Futurama joined in progress (* means there is a slight chance the
episode will be shown on time if the local team's game is blacked
out): Cincinnati*, Minnesota*, New England*, Philadelphia*,
Washington
Futurama probably, but not definitely, joined in progress:
Cleveland, Jacksonville, Nashville
12/16 is a Fox NFL doubleheader day
12/23 is a CBS NFL doubleheader day - with any luck, "A Tale Of Two
Santas" will air sometime that night (and since Fox will not air it
at 7:00, it wouldn't be interrupted by football)
12/30 is a Fox NFL doubleheader day
1/6 is when the 9/16 games will be played, and as 9/16 was supposed
to be a CBS NFL doubleheader day, I assume 1/6 will be as well
1/13, 1/20, and 1/27 are playoff game weekends; on each Sunday,
unless all of the AFC games that weekend are in Seattle, Oakland, or
San Diego, and no NFC game is in San Francisco (so CBS would have to
show the Sunday 4:15 game), chances are very good that Fox would air
a game at 4:15 Eastern that day, pre-empting Futurama in the Eastern
and Central time zones
2/3 is the Super Bowl, which is on Fox

2/10 - Fox starts its new show of highlights of that day's NASCAR race
on Sundays at 7:00 - no, I better not give Fox any ideas

In other words, the stupid jocks have killed Futurama. Sheesh, with
umpteen hundred sports channels you'd think that they would leave the
only good show on tv alone, but NOooooo. I hate sports

So your saying that, until the Super Bowl is over, there's a good chance that
we will never see a Futurtama episode play uninterrupted in it's regualr time
slot?

Maybe not. Although, there are fewer games once the playoffs get underway.

I wouldn't say "good chance" - there's only one 4:05 game on Fox on
December 9 (Washington-Arizona), so all of the Fox stations that show
a 1:00 game (Carolina-Buffalo, Chicago-Green Bay, Detroit-Tampa Bay,
San Francisco-St. Louis, NY Giants-Dallas) will get the season
premiere in its entirety. (The only city in the Eastern and Central
time zones that has to show that late game is Washington.)

However, each Sunday during the playoffs, if Fox shows the 4:00 game,
it lasts until 7:30 - and Fox tries to schedule a 4:00 game on Sundays
whenever possible (which is "pretty much every time except if it would
mean the CBS game would start at 9:30 AM local time").
