Minnesota’s Barratt Named USPV Player Of The Week

Brandy Barratt has been named United States Professional Volleyball
league (USPV) Player Of The Week for the period March 25-31.
Barratt (Long Beach State) set a league record by hitting at an
amazing .882 clip in Minnesota’s 3-0 victory over Grand Rapids
on March 25.
In that match, Barratt put down 15 kills with no errors in 17 hitting
attempts. Barratt finished with 16 points. Her 15 kills tied a season
high.
Barratt ranks fifth in the league in hitting percentage at .300 and
ranks seventh in scoring (11.0 ppm) and seventh in kills (9.2 kpm).
Barratt is the third Minnesota Chill athlete to nab Player Of The Week
honors this season. Her appointment follows Setter Lindsey Berg (Week
3) and Opposite Hitter Lindsay Henning (Week 4). The team revealed
Friday that Henning will be lost for the balance of the season with a
shoulder injury.
