Roberts Nabs POW Honors For Second Straight Week
Breaks League Scoring Record Twice In Four Days

Benishe Roberts has been named U.S. Pro Volleyball (USPV) Player Of
The Week for a second straight voting period. This award covers the
period March 18-24.
Roberts, who has now won the award a record three times this season,
broke the USPV scoring record twice within a four-day stretch last
week. The Long Beach State alum scored 30 points in a 3-2 victory at
Grand Rapids on March 19 and then followed that up with a 33-point
performance in a 3-2 loss to Chicago on March 22.
In that Chicago match, Roberts also tied the USPV record for kills in
a match with 25.
Against Grand Rapids, Roberts tied the USPV record for blocks in a
match (7) and set the record for most block assists in a match (12).
In the two matches, Roberts averaged 31.5 points, 23 kills, 6.5 blocks
(9 block assists), 2 aces and 18 digs a contest.
Roberts leads the league in blocks (4.0 bpm) and hitting percentage
(.372), is second in the league in scoring (17.4 ppm), third in kills
(12.4 kpm), third in aces (1.1 apm) and seventh in digs (9.6 dpm).
