I am pleased to bring you the latest installment of Oratcl.

Here is a summary of the changes.

I consider this patch release.. There are no new features implemented
in this release.

Also, starting now, with release 3.3 I will provide the precompiled windows
dll's on the sourceforge site with a little installer script. The dll's will
not be in the source.tar.gz download file, nor will they be in the CVS
repository.

For those of you using CVS, the tag you want is oratcl-3-3-branch I.E.

cvs checkout -r oratcl-3-3-branch -d oratcl3.3 oratcl

Version 3.3 August, 2001

- fixed an oversight in oradesc that was not describing the table
when given the name of a synonym. This will also fix the problem
in oralong, that prevented long operations on a synonym.
- Attempt a different method of library directory detection.
- Alter configuration to detect and use Oracle 9i in a unix build.
- Corrected the eval of library files (oralob.tcl, oralong.tcl) from
within the 'C' code. This fixes crash when calling
Tcl_GetNameOfExecutable() without having first called Tcl_Init(interp).
- library files oralob.tcl and oralong.tcl are not sourced if the
interp is initialized in safe mode.

Thank you

Works for me. Perhaps your download ended prematurely. Try again.

Forgot to set binary mode when FTP'ing the file. I sent up a new one
and actually tested the download. It is good now
