Operating System/File System search

First, just wanted to say that I really like the new Deskbar, great
compliment to the broswer toolbar that I now can't fathom working
without.

I am hoping that someone at Google sees this (maybe it is already in
the works), and works on integrating search for local filesystems.
The new search utility in windows XP and 2003 is terrible, I can never
find files even when I know they are explicitly in a certain place on
my machine with a certain name or containing certain text. The time
is right for Google to make a strong play (possibly as part of the
Deskbar) into the true desktop search market. I would love one
integrated tool that could search my OS and the web all at once, or at
least something that was as solid at finding items stored on my local
hard drive as Google's web search is at finding things sprawed across
the Iternet.

Thank you for posting the same thoughts I had as soon as I installed
this little wonder app. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to
google my own machine and my personal network. It could spider my
network at night, creating a database of everything available on my
network that would be able to do a search in seconds.
