After the fire at the Oakwell stud, Kim lets Tara know that all of the
horses were saved.
Tara tells Kim that Oakwell Hall is now doomed as she was relying on
the stud farm for the finances. She tells Kim the fire was no accident
and must have been started by someone with a grudge against her.

Jack finds Ned burning some clothes.
Ned explains that he was out till late on the look out for poachers
and fell into a cow pat, thus he is burning the dirty clothes.

Jan comes out to speak to Ned and purposefully ignores Jack.
When Jack goes away she tells Ned that Jack cannot stay. Jan notices
Ned's arm is bandaged.

The Dingles are getting prepared for their gig in Australia. Butch
tries to make out that he is going as manager of the Wool Packers.

Jack goes to see Rachel but cannot get a reply.
Betty informs him that rachel left earlier in a taxi with her bags
packed.

Vic is getting a hard time from Viv over his trip to Australia.
She is complaining about being left in sole charge of the shop again.
She threatens Vic that she won't be there when he gets back from his
trip.

Jack rolls up to the farm just as a joiner finishes fitting new locks
to the house.
Sarah lets Jack know that he isn't welcome back in the house.
Jack tells Sarah that his affair with Rachel is now over.

Terry gets Turner's agreement to him going to Australia.

Kim goes to the Glovers and confronts Ned.
She accuses him of starting the fire at the stud farm, Ned tells her
she' got the wrong bloke.
Kim tells Ned she understands him wanting to get revenge but the
Oakwells will put in an over inflated insurance claim and then go to
the Police.
Kim see's the damage to Ned's arm.
Ned tells her that they got what they deserved and what had to be done
was done.

Sarah won't speak to Jack.

Jack tells Billy to go and help the Oakwell's with the fire damage.
Ned turns up and Jack tells him to go with Billy.

Biff and Roy are talking in the Woolpack about Ned's involvement in
the fire. They agree to give Ned an alibi.

Mandy goes to see Paddy in the Woolpack.
Paddy apologises for playing her along and admits Zoe has offered to
keep him on for a year.
Mandy tells Paddy she is going to Australia.

Turner complains that he now has no one to help him with the pub.

The fire brigade examiner advises Tara and Kim that he thinks a
firework caused the fire.
Just then Ned and Billy turn up.
Tara accuses Ned of starting the fire and threatens to call the
Police. Ned tells her she will need proof.

Kim tells Tara that it will be hard to prove that Ned started the fire
and wants him left to her.

Sarah takes Jack's clothes to the Glovers and accuses Jan of siding
with Jack.

Lisa hasn't gone with the Woolpackers to Australia as she is terrified
of flying.

On the way back from the airport Lisa and Marlon find Sam with his
suitcases at the side of the road.
Sam tells Lisa that he is "going up North to London".

Kim advises Tara not to report Ned to the Police as the insurance
company won't pay out until he has been tried.
She also threatens that if Tara goes to the Police she will tell them
that Tara tried set up Ned to claim the insurance money.

Sam tells Lisa that he is upset because Zak has gone off to Australia.
He wants to go away and start again in London.
Lisa tries to talk him out of it and promises to knit him a jumper.
They go off home together.

Eric is upset that Rachel has left him in the lurch.
He offers Betty overtime to work, she accepts pay at treble time.

Jan accuses Ned of starting the fire. She then gives Jack an earful
about leaving Sarah.

Sam is in the Woolpack with Marlon and Lisa. He is disguised in a deer
stalker and glasses. He tells marlon that he is a master of disguise.

Ned is having a drink in the Woolpack with Roy and Biff. He tells them
that he started the fire and that Kim is covering for him.

Billy tells Sarah that she can rely on him as a man about the place.

Sarah ends up telling Robert that his dad has had an affair and their
marriage is over.
She tells him that Jack is never coming back.

That's where it ended.
