Hi!

I found a schematic on a Caller ID, that some guys at a Swedish
university made this summer.

The schematic can be found at page 118, and the component list can be
found at page 45:
http://www.student.ce.chalmers.se/~d01prj16/dokument/slutrapport.pdf

Now, they haven't specifyed exactly what kind of components the have
used, just some values (ie. only "10nF capacitor", not what kind of
capacitor etc..).

The PDF says that all components can be bought at Elfa (a big Swedish
electronics supplyer), but again no part number's or anything like
that ;(.
So, based on the values they specifyed, on a picture of the circuit
(http://www.student.ce.chalmers.se/~d01prj16/p4.html), and on some
other schmatics's based on the same circuit, I compiled this list of
components and the Elfa part. no.:

1x 56-670-84 CWC9004 Line transformer
1x 73-036-21 MT8870DE DTMF-reciever
1x 74-501-41 3,579545 MHz crystall
2x 65-183-69 Capacitor 0,1uF/63VDC MKT
1x 65-012-41 Capacitor 0,1uF 6m 400VDC
3x 60-745-61 Resistor 100kohm 1% 0,6W
1x 60-743-14 Resistor 60,4kohm 1% 0,6W
1x 60-740-66 Resistor 37,4kohm 1% 0,6W
1x 60-752-20 Resistor 390kohm 1% 0,6W
3x 70-013-32 BAT85 schottkydiod DO34

All the resistors are "metal foil resistors" (dunno if that is the
correct term.. in Swedish it's called "Metallfilmsmotstånd"), and the
capacitors are "Metalliserad polyesterkondensatorer", translated it
would be "Metallic polyester capacitors" or something like that :)

Now, does anyone have any comments about my choose of compoents?
Should I use some other kind of resistors or capacitors or anything
like that?

Here are info about each component:

Do transliteration and you will get the correct term "metal film"
resistor.
The capacitors can be mylar or ceramic, thru-hole or SMD depending on
space and teperature requirements.
BYW, the resistor spec is 0.5 watts, not 0.6 watts.

So it doesn't matter if they are mylar or ceramic?
I'm not exatly an electronics expert :P

That 0.6w thingy, just copied from the supplyers webpage..

Mylars have a lower loss at a given RF frequency; ceramics are
available for 125 C work.
Most likely you would be better served using mylar or other film type
capacitors.
