Sorry my fault: It works perfectly, when standard install is chooosen,
but fails with devtools installed, as described above.
Sorry for that and thanks in advance

I have no such a error. Please check old profile folder.
You have to delete old profile folder before installing 0.8 version.

Thanks for helping me out, but have you tried custom install or normal
install? Normal install works, only custom install with devtools is a
problem.

You'll have to include the inspector/ directory from your Mozilla 1.6
translation (if you have one) in your xx-YY.jar to make it work, and add
one line to install.js :
registerChrome(chromeType, cf, localeName + "inspector/");
I'll try to update my little tutorial with this issue as soon as possible.
Another solution would be to leave the Inspector in English by _not_
removing the en-US files from the installer and installing them anyway.

Yes, and when you are just about it, do the same for Chatzilla and
Venkman. The reason is that the en-US locale folders for these add-ons
are in own jar files (inspector.jar, venkman.jar, chatzilla.jar) and not
in the locale jar (en-US.jar) file.
Thanks you very, very much for your help, that was it.
