I got a the following blue screen message on reboot after my system froze:

"There are no spare stack pages. It may be necessary to increase the setting
of 'minSps' in SYSTEM.INI to prevent possible stack faults. There are
currently 4 SPs allocated"

I went into SYSTEM.INI and couldn't find anything I'd want to play with.
Anyone know what this means and how I can comply?

Thanks

Phil

Try adding this line to your System.ini file:
Scroll down to the [386Enh] Section and One space down. Hit the
Enter Key one time to create a blank line just below the [386Enh].
In the blank line, type the following:

; Increases default stack pages from 2 to 6
MinSPs=6

The default is 2. If required, increase increments by 2
The * ; * works the same as * REM * works in AutoExec.Bat

Click Edit, Save, Edit, exit. Shut down and restart for the
changes to take effect.

You have to add a new line as described by Unk. It will then look something
like this:

[386Enh]
MinSPs=4
device=*COMBUFF
device=TURBOVCD.VXD
ebios=*ebios
woafont=dosapp.fon
mouse=*vmouse

And Win95, 98, and ME.

Or, for the OP, add a line under [386Enh] in SYSTEM.INI that says

MinSPs=8
