My wife and i got to play the new Simpson's game today. We played it at King
Of Prussia at Betson for about an hour. Here is the review I will break it
down into sections.
Section 1
Art:
The art overall is a 9.9 out of ten. Awesome work on the backglass and the
playfield. And as far as the cabinet goes I could tell why the faded out the
people of Springfield; they did it so the focus would be on Bart, Homer, and
Maggie on the one side. And on the other side the focus would be on Marge and
Lisa.
Section 2
Sound:
By far the best job ever by Stern. First I will give you a list of all of the
different peopl my wife and I heard while we were playing. Homer, Bart,
Grandpa, Krusty, Otto, Janitor, Snake, Wiggam, Moe, Cletus, Apu, Comic book
guy. There might be others but we did not hear any. Also one not contrary to
what other peopl have said on the newsgroup the quotse fit in perfect to the
gameplay. Both my wife and I thought they did a great job here. The
background music was also very well done. Overall sound 9.5 out of ten. Play
it and you will see.
Section 3
Animations:
Let me just say after playing it all I could say is WOW. There were so many
animations in this game it was unbelievable. Every time we looked up we saw
something new, and they all fit in perfect with the game. Overall here a 10
Section 4
Playfield layout and Flow:
Very good job as well. There are a lot of original ideas in this playfiel.
Some of them are the kwiki shot the mini playfield and the monrail. The flow
to the game was very good also. My wife iomparticular would like me to mention
the placement of the pop bumpers. She has played tonf of pins and she said
those are the best pop bumpers ever in a game. As far as the way they are
involved with the game and the way they play with the game.
Section 5
Rules:
Man let me just say one word DEEEP. You will never tire of this game. There
is so much stuff to do here. Besides the seven regular modes and the wizard
mode. Here is some of the other modes The four different Bart Daredevils, The
comic book Guy Hurry ups and the picking up kids. Not to mention the ib\nsatnt
classic dohh frenzy mode incredable. One of the Deepest games i have evr
played period.
Section 6
Multiballs
First off the animations to the jackpots and such are awesome. The reg.
multiball mode is very tough to get which is great because it makes it very
challenging. The four different ITCHY and Scratchy modes are awesome too.
they all are simialr but yet different which was very cool. Plus the couch
ball lcok is timeless. One of the best ball locks ever.
My overall Opinon.
1. we are buying one NIB
2. Excelent game
3. Great work Keith Keep it up and evryone else at Stern.
4. the ball did not get stuck anywhere.
5. a 9.75 out of ten.
6. Excellent use of the theme with the game.
7. By far better than any other Stern Game.
8. Watch out for T3 coming in July( next Steve Ritchie Pin)
9. Hope verybody enjoy's this review on the newsgroup.
10. I could list some bad stuff, but I have nothing to list.
Thanks All,
Derek and Gabby

Is there a 'coming soon' ad for T3 in the attract mode on Simpsons?

Does anyone else have the feeling that after all the hype and love
people are giving TSPP that T3 will turn out to be a complete
disappointment? I hope it is not but I am having trouble thinking of
ways Steve can out do himself.

(Hoping T3 has an intense sound track so the Korn can nuts this year...

hype and love?? i couldn't find any of that in your reviews...

just from us brown nosers ; )

the reason TSPP will get mucho hype and love is because the game is a SWEET
effort. people are just giving props where props are DUE.

I hope it is not but I am having trouble thinking of
>ways Steve can out do himself.

thats why he is a designer and your not ; )

steve will do just fine. after all, he's...
THE KING !!!

Just played the fucking machine the other day. Being cross-eyed since the day i was
born doesn't help you know. I matched numbers once and broke a hundred twice.
Hooray for me!

hehe Maybe.... it's just that BigD always mentions T3 in every
post so I thought your comment was a pun. Sure they'll put
a "coming soon" on the Simpson's DMD "don't buy me -
wait for T3!" ... I don't think that would help sales ;-)

I thought you were commenting on yet another mention of
T3 from him. Or maybe I consumed too much "heart medicine"
(as the liquor store like to call it now) that evening.

I would LOVE the opportunity to design a game and have it picked apart
to pieces by the group. Oh well that's just a day dream in today's
market.

hell, even _I_ could do that. draw something up and lets see how you do : )

its all in fun.
