Plus: Three whole panels of BATMAN -- the popular costumed adventure
character seen in the popular films by TIM BURTON and JOEL SCHUMACHER,
and in the bestselling sequential literature magazine by JEPH LOEB and
JIM LEE!

Hi Stuart
John Delaney here. I just wanted to ring in and say how much I enjoyed
drawing your story. I thought it was both exciting and thoughtful with
spot on characterisations. I love Justice League stories that involve
a world wide threat as this one does but you also never missed the
opportunity to focus on the many things that make a hero. Hawkgirl's
courage to rush into the unknown as well as Green Lantern's ability to
believe in second chances showcase these attributes brilliantly.
BTW getting to draw the villian on page 6&7 was a special treat for
me. Thanks.
Great working with you and I hope we get a chance to do it again in
the future.
Cheers
John

I may as well add to the set then. :)
Hi Stuart and John I had fun working on this one too. It's the first
time I've worked in the "Adventures" style. A pleasure working with you
both.
All we need now is Steve Wacker to come in and complete the thread for
us.
Can't.

He's a riot, isn't he?
Thanks, guys. It was great working with you too -- I think the finished
book came out beautifully.
And to anyone on the fence about buying the issue: It's got free
Garbage Pail Kids stickers, too. You don't get that in OPTIC NERVE!
Best,
Stuart

My new favorite thread. I love the net!

Never, ever mention Batman and Joel Schumacher in the same sentence.

In article <20030809001537...@mb-m22.aol.com>,
FIVE. Don't forget the two on the last page. The first three are pure gold
though (I won't spoil it for anyone). However, you're selling the issue short.
You didn't mention the THIRTY-SIX panels of Superman (yes, I counted).
Superman's cooler than Batman any day.
I was planning on stopping over at Stuart's Quesada board to discuss this issue
(and I still do), but I just wanted to let John, Robin, and Steve know that I
enjoyed it too. Thanks guys! Great job.
Take Care,
Chris
Hi Ray
Thanks for the great review!
Cheers
John
Like the recent JLA, this issue just SCREAMS "relevance" in light of current
events. And I thought the ending was rushed. Plus, the cover was misleading,
the story wasn't really about WolverWings.*
*Yes, I have my own cutesy nicknames for the crew: Batgod, Superwimp,
Flashwipe, Green Martinet, Alienator and Princess Monotone.
Maybe, but it DID depict something that actually happened in the issue, so you
gotta give 'em credit for that. :-)
-Chris
Quite welcome for both.
Ray
I'm honestly shocked we just had 4 creators reply to a post about a
book they worked on. Don't get me wrong, i think it's great, i was
just surprised. Keep up the good work, guys.
