I was going through some old newspapers before tossing them in the recycle
bin when I came across this item in the Globe & Mail (Toronto newspaper):

"It`s probably going to be the coolest rock movie of all time, certainly the
coolest Canadian rock movie. I`m talking about the "Festival Express" film
that Bob Smeaton (The Beatles Anthology; Band Of Gypsies) is currently
assembling from live and concert footage shot in the summer of 1970. That
was when Janis Joplin, The Band, the Grateful Dead, Ian And Sylvia, Delaney
and Bonnie, the Flying Burrito Brothers and a host of others boarded a train
in Montreal and travelled to stadiums Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary, making
music all along their hedonistic way.

Smeaton and crew are in Toronto for four days, starting tomorrow, and during
the visit they`ll be interviewing Sylvia Tyson and members of Joplin`s
famous support group, the Full-Tilt Boogie Band, about their adventures of
30 years ago. The film should be completed by May, 2003 and it`s expected
its North American premiere will happen in Sept. 2003 at the Toronto
International Film Festival."
