14 discs set up over two months ago, no responses to repeated e-mails,
etc...

I read through most of the older Good Trader/Bad Trader threads about
this guy here and only traded with him in the first place because it
looked like he had just enough traders here willing to stand up for
him. Well, that was all for nothing so far, you gotta be kidding me.
Is this how you built up your list, do a few trades, rip a few others
off, do a few, rip a few? Now how ever will I live without hearing the
Shat Man Q&A?

Ray, like I said in my e-mails, if you have some sort of personal
problems that are keeping you from burning the 14 cd-r's you owe me
than why not take 30 seconds of your time and let me know? Surely
you've had 30 free seconds in the last 2 months? You cetainly had the
time when you set up the trade.

I hate this shit, why is so hard to find trustworthy traders? Now I
see why a lot of traders refuse to wander outside their circle of old,
dependable trading contacts.

Sorry about that. I do have some personal problems that crop up every couple
of months. Your discs have been done, but getting to the PO is not as easy as
you think. I now am using stamps.com, which lets me print out muy own postage
and drop them off in a local mailbox. All pending trades will be out by
tuesday morning.

Don't believe him. He is a bad trader of the highest caliber. He'll send
apologetic personal emails etc., but you'll get nothing but screwed. He got
five discs from me a few months back. Just as his reply here states, he had
mine discs done as well. Yeah right. Bullshit.
Even claimed he mailed them at one point, then turned around a couple weeks
after that and asked for my address again. Screw you Ray, you're a piece of
shit bad trader and you know it.-Ken

PS: He's got a listed phone number with his wife's name also listed. Give
him a call and ask him personally why he screwed you. Not too bright for a
thief are you Ray? You should do the unlisted number and PO box like the
real pros.
As for me, I let it go...until I saw you the bad trader post. It got me
wound up again. No one likes getting screwed over.

Sorry Ken, not a bad trader. I do have many packages to send out, but haven't
gone to the PO in awhile. I print my own stamps out now and have a bunch going
out this week. I do sometimes get mixed up with what packages go out because I
send so many. Like I said, ALL packages will be out by Tuesday morning.

If anyone has even a hint of a bad trader post, I always make them send
first, If they are genuine, then its not a problem, I have enough
references to back myself up

This incomplete trade dates back to July. I sent Ray his CD's one week
after we agreed to trade. He acknowledged receiving his CD's from me
shortly after and then came the waiting. Ray, if your intentions are
genuine, then why tell me that my CDs are ready and being mailed twice over
a two month period (I gave up on the guy late-September)? Then the asking
for my address again bullshit. What happened to the emails and hard mail
copies of my address you had already received? What makes you think you
have the right to strike deals then dictate the timetable at your
convenience? How about telling me up front that it might take up to FIVE
MONTHS for you to live up to your commitment? They don't have a postal
service in Rhode Island? We're talking since July! Go look at a calender
and ask someone to help you with the math.
Yeah, you are a CD collector, but you are no trader.
I have always been very lenient, convenient and patient when it comes to
trades. I am very trusting by nature and it has paid off in the past with
some satisfying results, but you take the cake because you like to string
people along once you make your sting. As for the CDs you owe me, don't
bother. I'd hate to inconvenience you.
Yes Ray, look in the mirror and you'll see what I'm sure everyone on this
newsgroup knows as a BAD TRADER.-Ken

Hey Ray, it's been almost a full month since you said you'd send my
discs out, so we're going on 3 months now with me peering inside my
mailbox feeling like Charlie Brown on Valentine's Day.

Our trade was for 14 discs, so if you've been burning 1 cd per week I
should except them all to arrive just in time for the new year, I
can't wait. Ah, but you said in your reply last month that my discs
have been done and it's simply a problem to get down to the post
office. I guess the stamps.com thing hasn't been any easier, huh?

Please let me know when you intend to send them for real this time.
And please don't tell me you lost my address or something, if they're
done as you say slap some stamps on them and get them moving for
crying out loud.

Thanks,

Dave

I'm experiencing the same problems here. I have a 5 disc trade going
on with this guy and I haven't heard anything from him since October.
I will continue to send emails to him on a regular basis until I hear
something (or receive my discs.)

He doesn't seem to have any trouble updating his web site, but he
doesn't seem to find time to respond to emails asking for an update to
the status of a delinquent trade...

Ray, are you out there? Would you please respond to me on the status
of our trade? I sent you 5 discs on 10/18/2003 and I haven't heard a
thing from you since. Please respond...

Only October? By Ray's schedule, you have a few more months of waiting and
wondering. I finally received my trade from Ray. It took 5 months, a
bunch of frustrating unanswered emails as well as waiting out false promises
from the ones that were answered, and finally, a public dress down on this
very newsgroup from me to him. Thats all it took to get my end of trade,
which arrived with no art, set lists or apologies. So chin up and keep
posting, it seems to be the only thing that works with Ray, the CD collectr.

Ray always has plenty of time to seek out trades. Lately he has been
using some of his other email addys (radi...@aol.com,
jazzp...@aol.com, gong...@yahoo.com, xdeme...@aol.com) and is no
longer including a link. Probably has something to do with all those
alerts floating around. He has also removed the hillarious link to his
ebay feedback from his links page. It seems like he considers a trade
finished once you email him that you have sent his discs

Only a week ago I got an email from Ray, claiming he had finally
gotten his shit together and remorsefully was asking for a chance to
redeem himself. So I checked up with a few people I knew Ray owed
discs (I know 7 or 8 people in that situation). Wasn愒 really
surprised that Ray has done nothing to correct the situation and still
doesn愒 answer emails

But here愀 the key to trading with Ray: he惻l come through when you
have new stuff he wants and doesn愒 know where else to get. That愀
what happened the last time I traded with him; after having lied to me
twice about shipping and having ignored emails for some time, he
suddenly came through. He immediately followed up asking if the stuff
had arrived and asked for another trade - even promising to send out
in only two days!! The real stinker was that he was looking for an
update of a flawed show he already had - and a few days later traded
the coasters to a guy I know. Nice touch

Those who have had problems with Ray : pretty typical of the dealings
he's had with me and with many others. You MAY get your part of the
trade with him, but ONLY AFTER sending dozens of e mails and likely
after posting questions or comments on him in forums like this. Ray,
please give up trading, you are really a big hassle to deal with, you
only make people less trusting and really make this not a lot of fun.
whneit really should be much more enjoyable for all of us.....
