hey,

the beardie i am looking at is showing the first signs of metobolic
bone disorder. the girl at the store said that this won't be a big
problem if i dose him heavily with calcium. dusting all of his food,
and puting him on calci-sand.

does this sound ok to you guys?

sould i not bother with this lizard? i really like him. he is so
unique. but i can't aford trips to the vet every week.

please help,

john

I haven't much experience with MBD (D stands for disease), having only to
deal with one case. But for what I've seen until now it's not easy to heal,
takes much time and can leave permanent misshapes.

The store girl tries to convince you to buy a sick animal. That's a bad
attitude.

I agree completely. Don't buy sick animals. Unless of course you love vet
bills.

Don't do it. It's not worth the hassle.

a local breeder told me the same thing the girl at the store did.

i don't have any reason to doubt him. besides several ppl have told me
that he doesn't even have mbd.

Well you posted that he was showing first sighns of MBD.D3 and calcium
glubionate can be used to treat MBD.Depending on severity. This will come
in drops so is can be properly dosaged. This is where a good vet comes
into play and also your dollars.Spraying or putting[cal] in water leaves
you with no i idea how much he's really getting....B

Your English is very poor and you cannot form proper sentences. The above
paragraph is nothing but gibberish. Are you sure you're not the one who's
12?
