VETS

Mandy still keeps going on about her pet astrology rubbish, much to Adam's
annoyance. She tries it out on Moany Woman (Mrs Birch, I think) when she
brings
her dog in but she sees straight through the crap and insists on seeing a
smug Adam.

However, Mandy won't let it lie and Paddy points out that she's attracted a
lot of
clients. An exasperated Adam feels she's turning the practise into a
freakshow and
heads off to the Woolie to drown his sorrows.

Tricia is fed up with Adam having to work all the time so is pleased to see
him turn
up at the Woolie early. He's initially surprised when she thanks him for
the present
but goes with the flow and accepts the gratitude. However, he doesn't seem
particularly keen on her offer of a night at Kathy's so Tricia decides on a
new ploy of
getting him drunk and then letting him seduce her!

Adam's had quite a few by the time Paddy and Mandy get to the pub and he
makes a
snide comment about Mandy's dad. She flies at him and has to be restrained
by
Paddy as Adam stumbles out of the bar.

ELECTION

Moany Woman turns up at the post office moaning (of course) about the lack
of
morality these days. The Voice Of Reason tries to agree with her (sensing
the
opportunity to win a vote) but gets accused of wearing tarty clothes for her
troubles.
When Kathy and Emily agree that her clothes are a little over the top she
rushes off to
'Otten to buy something more respectable.

Eric, meanwhile, enlists Charity's help by getting her to flash a bit of
cleavage as she
hands out rosettes to the punters in the Woolie. This gives Moany Woman
another
chance to moan when one of them slaps her on the bum.

Viv makes her big entrance in her new outfit, all beige, sensible skirt,
pearls etc. Her
nose is put out of joint when Eric suggests she's got on the wrong bandwagon
as the
men are much more interested in Charity.

SUGDENS

Jack is fed up with interfering from the villagers. Ashley turns up trying
to put
Sarah's case, saying it's not good for the kids to keep her away from them.
Jack tells
him he doesn't know what he's talking about.

Jack swallows his pride and goes to Laura for advice. However, it's not
really what
he wants to hear, as she informs him that Sarah has every right to see the
kids and that
if it went to court he might not win custody.

Meanwhile, Richie is starting to have his first doubts as he confides to
Carlos that he
and Sarah seem unable to talk at the moment.

OTHER BITS

- Bernice has to reassure Kathy that she won't be intruding on Alice's new
family
when she goes to visit soon (just hurry up and go, please!!)

- Carlos decides dancing will help with Spanish lessons (though I don't
think
anything can rescue Tricia's accent!)

- Bernice tries to get Seth to patch things up between Betty and Diane but
he has
little success.
