The scooters are fun - yes, but makes a person lazy.
I somewhats see the scooters as ATVs, but some don`t
see it that way and lots are mixed about them.
lots of people say that the motorized foot scooters
are the same as a bicycle. BUT a bicycle is not motorized.
If it was motorized, It would be a motorbike....
Well the scooters are a big safety issue on streets
here in the northwest and someother parts in the US
and I have seen a good hand full of clips from the
UK area aswell starting to show up .....
Some of the new laws that are being made with
getting the scooters off the streets land us
bmxers/bicyclists in some whats of the changing
laws are selfs, by banning bikes and scooters from
sidewalks and some roadways and parks exta...
Had a Seattle Washington area person say that
they have started seeing the motorized foot
scooter showing up at skate parks and riding them
there and making it unsafe for others using the
parks due to high speeds and even hitting people
with the scooters...motorized things do not belong
at a skate park? most parks do not allow motorized
things in the parks them selfs so thats a issue
that will start showing up soon Im guessing as it
catches on......
A good hand full of the clips about the scooters
I have posted up, I have seen some other citys/town
grab/coppy them and use them in making some of the new
city/town laws out there. I don`t know if there
grabbing them from alt.bmx or my other news poing
bord on my site. but there getting the news and
saying something about changes in there towns.
the clips must be doing somewhats good?
others get to see whats going on aswell....
as scooters are a big safety issue on streets letting
10y/o kids ride them on the streets with cars and
some of them do top speeds same as a car and they
don`t have any road rules, It was sad to see that
one clip where the 2 kids got hit and killed by a car.
Hopefully the scooter clips can make some sort of
differnts and make it so we all dont see more clips
where a kid has gottin killed riding them.
So sudden obsession somewhats so, but for a point.
PS - the scooters are sold in just about any chain
store out there for under $300.00 to any kid with
out a ATV or Drivers License. = big time UNSafe.
