I was looking through my University library catalog yesterday and
found an Abba book which I have never seen before, so I checked it
out.
It's called "Fernando The Flute: Analysis of musical meaning in an
Abba mega-hit". It's a paperback, 140 pages, published by
Mass Media Music Scholar's Press.

I read it through the night yesterday, and it's really great. It
analyzes Fernando from all possible angles, even Frida's LP cover is
analyzed in detail. It has plenty of notation stuff, but it includes
an overview of Abba musical roots, and some great observations about
different versions of Fernando. Quite an interesting read! I have
never read anything like this about Abba before.

I searched through Internet about the author, and it turns out that he
is one of the leading academic scholars of popular music .

Did anyone else read this book? I will probably be looking to buy it
if it's available anywhere.
