Yes. You'll need to open your I-War 2 control config in a text editor to do
it. The default one used by the game is the <install
folder>\configs\default.ini

The vertical axis is MouseYAxis in the ini file. To invert it add ',
inverse' to the appropriate mouse binding in your control config ini file.
E.g.:

Change:

Mouse, MouseYAxis

to:

Mouse, MouseYAxis, inverse

There are several mappings of the mouse Y axis in the ini file, so make sure
you modify the correct one. I'm not sure which one you're modifying. Make a
backup of your control config first.

There's also a MouseAbsYAxis, which is used for the mouse pointer, so it's
probably not a good idea to invert that one.

Best regards,

thanks - I'm in awe of the level of technical support you give for an old game

You might try the "EOC Key Binder" which puts a simple UI around the config
file.
Can't remember where I found it...

while I'm at it... don't suppose there's a way to control the throttle
with my mouse wheel?

I haven't tried myself, but I imagine this would do it.

[icPlayerPilot.Throttle]
Joystick1, JoyZAxis, inverse
Joystick1, JoyUAxis, inverse
Mouse, MouseZAxis, inverse

// Xan, Ph.D.
// I worship His Shadow.

Steve, I too am in awe of the support you give here - thanks again.

Can you share what the status is of a possible IWar 3? If there are no
plans, what are the chances of the IWar 2 source code being released to
the public? I've be having great fun recently running through FreeSpace
2 again with the new code that has been developed. See
http://freespace.volitionwatch.com/fsscp/links.php for links.

What I'm really hopeing for is Iwar2 engine powering a persistent
economy. Terminus was OK toward this but just didn't have the production
values and atmosphere of FS2 and IWar2 - Think Jumpgate with the Iwar
engine meets the Eve Online economy.

TIA,
P.

Currently we don't have any plans for more I-War games. Personally, I'd love
to do one; but it's not something we're actively considering at this time.

I very much doubt we'll ever release the source code I'm afraid. It'd be up
to our new parent company - Argonaut - in any case.

It's a lovely dream; one I thought about a lot over the past few years, but
I doubt it'll happen.
