Here's Dave More's response to my request/demand that he remove the
photograph of me he has posted at his crackpot Marlowe Lives! website,
stolen from one of the websites I write for:

"When Neil Brennen finally saw that I snagged (he says "stole") his
photo from his website and posted it in this blog, he didn't like it
one bit, so he's taken the image down...(If it were my picture I'd do
the same thing). At least he's posting more informative messages like
his latest on the King John POTM thread about Guy of Warwick.
posted by Dave at 12:21 AM "

Please note the usual Marlovian carelessness: I don't have a website,
and I didn't take the "image" down.

More still hasn't removed the photo.

Jeez, Neil. Why don't you just write to me? When I went to remove it,
the image was not available so I assumed that YOU took it down.
Anyway, upon reflection and since you were so nice about it, I've
decided to leave it up, slightly altered for the time being. In the
meantime, I'll write to the chess mag for permission to use it. My
bad.

have a nice day. It's gorgeous here. Must get outdoors.

Let me get this straight. The thief expects ME to write to HIM to ask
that he stop displaying the PSCF's property without permission?

Agreed. I have instructed tbe sites I write for to say "No" to you.

Are they allowing you out unsupervised yet?

The thief expects Neil to stop acting like an a*s*o*e. The thief
thinks he's found a satisfactory way for the public to steal a glance
of Neil so they can avoid him like the plague if they see him on the
street. <http://www.marlovian.com/blog/marlivs.html>

During the short time my name and photograph has been displayed on
More's crackpot Marlovian website, trolls on the chess newsgroups have
taken the information and run with it. Supposedly I have an
"association" with the Marlovian website, I "post" to it, and
lowercase dave's words are the gospel truth. They have been enjoying
the fresh ammo. I have been occupied the past few days reminding the
chess trolls that lowercase dave is an authorship nutcase.

Thanks dave.

Interesting. I didn't notice any spike in traffic. How'd they learn
about it, I wonder. It just sounds to me like people know you're an
a*sh*l* everywhere you turn, spammy. Maybe I'll go to those chess
newsgroups and set them straight one of these days. But here and now,
if we could turn our attention back to Shakespeare (you remember him,
right Neil?) that would be nice.

A troll did a websearch under my name. It seems your website is the
only site disparaging me on the Internet.

Yes, it is nice. One of the chess trolls is a closet Groupist, so I am
calmly refuting his Groupist arguments in an off-topic thread "OT:
Marlowe, Shakespeare, and Bacon". He's also apologized for quoting
you, since it's now been established you are a nutcase. Your "Rime
Royal" argument was the clincher.

Yes. Neil. I read that thread and just posted a reply to it. More
power to you in your Shakespeare studies.
