The latest release of Jess, the rule engine for the Java platform, is available
at
the usual URL:

http://herzberg.ca.sandia.gov/jess

Jess 6.1RC1 is the first release candidate for Jess 6.1. There are several
bug fixes relative to 6.1b3. Here is the change log entry:

Fixed another leak and another deadlock in "logical"
(thanks Glenn Williams.) Reflection machinery now
tries more aggressively to convert between floats and
RU.FLOATs, ints and RU.INTEGERs, etc, in both
directions. assert-string just returns FALSE on
duplicate fact (thanks Thomas Diesler.) Better system
for renaming variables in nested NOTs. Fix a race condition
in JessEventSupport (thanks Chad Loder.)
Added listDefclasses, etc. Fixed "breadth" conflict
resolution strategy.

As usual, questions and comments are welcome to ejfried at ca dot sandia dot
gov.
