i uploaded today the release canidate of JamP a Mp3 Player written
in pure Java. The current version is stable enough to be called
a release canidate. May some people will test it even on other
operating systems as Mac, Linux & Windows where it runs quite stable.
The Player is startable as Webstart Application from my Site, and runs
on any JVM 1.4:
www.mac-systems.de/jampalphaversion_en.html
The Player is able to load allmost all winamp2.x/xmms skins,
and can switch them on the fly via a SkinBrowser/Skin Menue.
Bookmarks are also supported, and much more features.
Import & Export of .pls and .m3u playlist. Also i added 'build in'
internet radios.
Screenshots could be seen there :

The Player can be switched between 'Shademode' and 'Normalmode'
by a doubleclick on the upper region.
The Shademode makes it look only 15 Pixles high, as the original
it also does. Of course it is fully dragable on the screen. To import
mp3's, you can drop them on the Player or the Playlist (on Windows).
Or via the Contextmenu, right click on the Playerwindow.
I collected also some 'known issues' and a 'bugparade'
is up on my site.
Please feel free to write your comments by mail or here.
Thx,
Jens Hohl
