This episode opens with mandy looking out of her bedroom window.
She see's the Dingles carrying out what looks like a coffin, it is
however Marlon's Christmas cake which they are loading onto the truck.

Roy and Ned are looking at an old family photograph.
They both admit that they are missing Dave and Linda.

Mandy, Lisa and Zak are eyeing up the pigs to see which one is best
for the pot.
Barry happens along and tells them that he is just the man to help
them cook their Christmas dinner.

Mr Magic (Harry Ramp) is sitting outside of the Woolpack.
Sam talks to him and shows him a yo yo that he has bought.
Sam invites Mr Magic to the Dingles for Christmas lunch.

Barry brings his latest invention to the Dingles, its a Clegg Treddle
Powered Microwave Mark 2.

Jack, Sarah and Victoria are in Roberts school to see him perform in
his play.
They bump into Cathy who is there with Alice.
Sarah's face is tripping her as there is still "bad blood" between her
and Cathy following there run in at the wine bar.
Cathy tells them it is nice to see their family back together again.
Sarah informs Cathy that they are only there for Roberts sake.
Robert comes in and tells them that he cannot perform in front of so
many people.

Betty and Seth are on their way to the Woolpack.
Seth is being secretive about a shopping bag he is carrying. Betty
spots that it is from a ladies lingerie shop but Seth won't tell her
what's in the bag.
They pass Mr Magic outside the Woolpack and exchange a few greetings
etc.

Jack talks Robert into taking part in the play.

Tara brings a sprig of mistletoe in for Steve.
She wants a kiss but Steve won't play.
Eventually Tara gives him a kiss under the mistletoe which turns into
a long snog which is interrupted by Chris Tate.

Marlon's Christmas cake is on display at the Woolpack.
Someone spots that Marlon has misspelt the word Christmas.

Seth shows Paddy the lingerie that he has bought for Betty, they are
sat in the Woolpack.
Seth tells Paddy that whilst he may have a dusting of frost on the
roof there are still smouldering embers in the grate.
Paddy tells him "Don't melt the end of your poker then".

Billy arrives at the caravan in the van he hijacked from Eric.
Andy complains that his dad didn't wake him up for school and he
wanted to go and see Roberts play.
Andy asks where the van came from and asks Billy if he has nicked it.
Billy tells Andy he has bought him an early Christmas present. Andy
looks in the van to find his dad has bought him a puppy.

Marlon is treddling Barry's super doopa micro wave oven. It's got a
pigeon in it.
Barry tells Marlon the bird is cooked.
Marlon takes it out and tells Barry that it is still raw, Barry
suggests it only needs browning off in a conventional oven.

Billy tells Andy that they are moving out of the caravan and the area.
Andy tells his dad that he doesn't want to go.

Lisa and Barry are lugging his microwave out of the Dingles place.
Barry tells Lisa that she really loves him.
Lisa complains to Barry about the fact that he had told her that Zak
wasn't making any money out of busking.
She tells Barry that she wants to show him something and leads him
into one of the out buildings. Unbeknown to Lisa and Barry, Zak is
watching them from afar.

Robert has finished his play and asks Sarah if his dada can come back
to the farm for tea.
Sarah says "why not".

Lisa shows Barry the two cement mixers, one that she bought and the
other bought by Zak.
Barry tells Lisa that Zak is a loser. Just then Zak grabs Barry around
the throat.
Zak tells Lisa that she has betrayed him by buying her own mixer when
he had vowed to buy her one.
Lisa asks if she has thwarted Zak's manhood, Zak tells her she had
desiccated it.

Billy admits to Andy ther reasons why he wants to get away from
Emmerdale, to get Pollard off his back and to avoid any trouble from
the Dingles.
Andy tells him that he still isn't going to move.

Jack has got his feet up on the sofa at the Sugden's farm.
Sarah gives him two Christmas presents and tells him he can open them.
The presents are the two Staffordshire ornaments.
Jack tells her he would rather have the ornaments left at the farm for
them both to look at. Jack tells her that he wants to come back and
needs to be with her again. He explains that the kids want him back.
Sarah is having non of it and tells Jack to leave.

Paddy tells Mandy and Terry about the lingerie Seth has bought for
Betty.

Turner announces the cake is going to be officially cut by Marlon.
Marlon cuts the cake, gives the first piece to Turner and low and
behold Turner thinks it tastes delicious.

Alice is talking to Mr Magic who is still sat outside of the Woolpack.
Mr Magic claps his hands and the village Christmas decorations all
come on.
Turner and Terry rush out to see what is going on and ask how the
lights have come on.
Alice tells them its magic.

Kim is opening a package and finds an audio tape in it.

Billy is packing his bags, Andy still won't go with him.
Billy gives Andy £50 and tells him that he will be back for him when
the heat dies down.
He tells Andy to tell anyone who asks that he is working away.
Billy then drives off in the van leaving Andy crying at the caravan
window.

Kim is playing the tape, a voice says, "Hope you have a nice
Christmas, as the New Year may not be as good. I know who the lady in
the lake was. Just me and you Mrs Tate, we know that someone has blood
on their hands".

And that's how it ended.
