Betty tells Zoe that Paddy is too ill for work and won't be coming in
today. That's all I need say's Zoe, everything is going wrong.
Betty tells Zoe that she is a nice lass who has lost her way (i.e.
lesbianism) but will find the right man some day.
Zoe rebuffs Betty by telling her that if she says one more word of
home spun truths she will kill her.

Sophie has gone to Home Farm to hand her notice in. She wants to go
straight away but Steve Marchant won't let her. Much argument about
responsibility of Nanny's etc and Steve eventually lets her go. Rather
fortunate as Sophie has a taxi waiting outside.
Steve refuses to let Sophie see James before she goes.
Much tears and Sophie disappears (forever?).

Will invites Kelly to his parents home warming party.
Vic is there and asks if his parents are going to be present to
supervise things.
Kelly passes a comment about Paddy so that both Vic and Viv will hear.

The Dingle family are attempting to find out what Zak's new job is, he
has told them that he is an executive.
Zak is working on the van and Marlon asks him how come he can spend so
much time at home, Zak tells him he is working plexitime (meaning
flexitime).
Lisa tells Zak that he spends more time on the van than he does on
her.
Zak announces that the van needs a new battery and Sam tells him he
will get one. Marlon asks sam where he is getting the spare parts
from.

Steve asks Kelly to take care of James (Kim is in New Zealand on
business and Sophie has left).
Kelly tells him she is too busy and anyway she isn't a Nanny.
Eventually she agrees to look after James but wants some money to buy
him sweets.

Eric and Billy are going to get the dodgy whiskey.
Dee wants to know why they are being so secretive. Eric tells her it
is bankrupt stock.
Dee wants to know the truth.

Zak is still busking in a shopping mall (looks like the one in
Harrogate). He tries to get a youngster who is watching him to sing a
carol. Zak gives the kid some chocolate as a bribe but the kid
disappears when Zaks back is turned.

Steve is on the telephone to Kim and tells her that all at Home farm
is OK.

Zoe arrives at Home Farm with some of Sophie's belongings.
Steve tells her that Sophie has gone.

Kelly aplogises to Biff for the happenings of last night.
They agree to be just good friends.

Zoe is in the Woolpack having a drink with Jack.
Jack tells Zoe he is sorry to hear about her and Sophie breaking up.
He mentions the fact that Sarah is divorcing him and threatening to
see the farm.
He tells Zoe that they are both in the same boat.

Roy tells Biff to start enjoying himself. He cannot grieve forever.

Sam takes Marlon to the van which he has found hidden in the woods.
This is where Sam has been getting the spare parts for Zak.
They hear someone coming and decide to hide in the back of the van.
Opening the back they find it is full of whiskey.

Billy and Eric turn up at the van, its the same one as Sam and Marlon
are hiding in the back of.
Billy tells Eric that the van is there little secret and no one else
knows it is there.
They open the back and low and behold, Sam and Marlon.

Eric pays Billy for the whiskey and tries to get the van started.
He then realises that Sam has been taking bits from it, i.e. the
wheel, clutch etc.

Barry has a go at Zak and takes the mick out of how much he has
collected.
Barry tells Zak he is hopeless at busking.

Sam and Marlon help Eric to shift the whiskey.
They arrive at the wine bar and ask for payment. Eric tells them they
can have a free meal. Dee tells him not to be so mean and pays them
out of the till, much to eric's annoyance.

Steve and Tara are in the wine bar having a drink.
Steve is telling her how difficult it is recruiting a replacement for
Sophie.

At the Cairns house warming Sarah turns up with Billy.
Jan mentions it to Ned and expresses her surprise that Sarah would
have come along with Billy.

Zak is constructing a drum set up so that he can become a better
busker.

Zoe and Mandy are talking in the Woolpack.
Mandy asks Zoe if she thinks that Paddy is tired of her.
Zoe tells mandy that she would be better off on her own.

Biff, Kelly and Roy are at the Cairns's house warming party.
Biff leaves and Kelly follows him.
Kelly catches up to Biff and tells him that she wanted to get away
from Roy's wandering hands.
They end up kissing.

Roy is asking where Kelly is. Someone mentions she had gone outside.
Roy goes to look for her and finds Biff and Kelly snogging (at least
that is what it looked like, the screen was very dark).
Roy shouts that it didn't take Biff long to forget about Linda.

And that's how it ended.

Cheers

Steve
