I am having a hard time in trying to set the display for
Microsoft Internet Explorer. The fonts and graphics are
too large and it also does not pick up any backgrounds
from websites such as Yahoo or ESPN. I have tried
adjusting the settings in Control Panel of Windows, but it
doesn't effect the way I view on IE. Please let me know
what I can do to fix this problem. Thanks

Okay -- first things first. The font size of IE is
completely independant of other things on the comp. Look
on the toolbar on the top, where it is like File | Edit |
View.... Click on the View menu option, then look for an
option that says "text size"! Now make the font bigger
or smaller as you please.

Second, the background to websites such as yahoo, and
some others, are set to default to whatever your
application background is set to in the control panel
settings...

Try going to Control Panel>Display>Appearance> then go
to the option for I think it's Application Background or
something like that... Change the color from whatever it
is on to white. Then yahoo's background along with some
other sites will appear white.

It's weird, but I guess that's how yahoo coded it to be
defaulted to your color preferences. Nice of them, huh?

:)

Anyway hope this helps!

I am experiencing the same problem with web page
displaying incorrectlly. There is no background on the
web pages and the fonts are big and overlap in many
instances. Drop down menus allow the dropdow text to
superimpose over the existing text. I can change the text
size but have been unable to resolve the no background
issue. Is this an HTML setting incorrect? I downloaded
Opera's browzer and the pages display correctly. I have
re-installed, run a repair and downloaded all current
patches on my IE 6, but to no avail. Anyone have success
in fixing these type problems. I am running Win XP OS.
Also HTML help and support screens have HUGE text and
cover many, many pages. If a page has a box for password
or search text intry spots, the text is HUGE when you type
these in as well. All other apps on my computer appear to
work correctly.
