At least one senior official of RPSC is under serious criminal frauds
investigation, with other possible charges pending, based on further
investigations. He used to be a prison warden, while major drug deals
were going down in his penitentiary!! How did he finance his
collection, one wonders??
His co-directors must be sweating bullets as they say, and now with
Interpol interested, who knows who else will get drawn into the
web,both in Canada and elsewhere?

This warning needs constant repetition, so that gullible new dealers
avoid having their stock stolen in Edmonton,Canada.

It certainly seems to be an inside job, and the lack of concern by the
city police, shows how little interest they have in the matter, when
out of towners get robbed.

"Lack of concern"? Does that mean that the "official of RPSC" is no
longer "serious criminal frauds investigation"?

BTW, when was the original article in the _Edmonton Journal_?

Hi Eric. No,lack of concern means they are too busy getting donuts and
coffee in the local Tim Hortons. Also, they make more money from
parking tickets and photo radar.

As for the ongoing investigation re criminal charges, still ongoing I
would suspect, both in town,in Ottawa, and overseas since Interpol
involved because of money laundering.

In any case, dealers considering Edmonton Stamp Shows should realize
they may not be insured, because of the constant series of thefts
there,apparaently an "inside job"!!

You are feeding the TROLL with many names. See other post.

Eric, the article was published by the Edmonton Journal newspaper
between 28 March 2003 and 30 June 2003, on their police reports page.
If you need the exact date and page number, the newspaper can probably
fax you the printed article.

It doesn't seem to be listed in the archives, searchable at
<http://financialpost.infomart.ca/ar/ar_form.php?type=A>. These
supposedly include almost everything that appeared in the Edmonton
Journal from the past five years.

Eric, full details are readily available from the newspaper,EDMONTON
SUN.page 44,issue of 20 April 2003.

Also, BNAPS have the full story on their website-
www.bnaps.org\stolen\htm

The Edmonton Police have the file as #03-39095, regarding the theft
from Donald Kaye.

Hope this helps.

Eric, the article appears on page 44 of the EDMONTON SUN newspaper of
20 April 2003.

BNAPS have also publicised the theft on their website www.bnaps.or
Their article follows:
Posted January 10, 2004: On March 29, 2003, twenty (20) collectible
covers were stolen from the dealer's table of Donald Kaye, at the
Edmonton Spring National show in Edmonton, Alberta.

The details of each cover can be obtained from Don at 17131 Coral
Beach Rd., Winfield, BC, V4V 1B9. The value of the individual items
ranged from $75 to $950; and there was another lot of 10 or so covers
valued at over $3,000.

Most covers were small queens. There were 4 large queen covers and one
5 cent beaver cover. One item was a 10 cent rated registered cover
franked with 20 1/2 cent small queens, from Quebec to Buenos Aires.

Some of the town cancels were: Eamers Corners, St. Hyacinthe,
Millevaches, and Arthur.

The theft was reported to the Edmonton police, case file: 03-39095.

For readers who don't know, BNAPS is the British North America Philatelic
Society. The correct URL: <http://www.bnaps.org/stolen.htm>.

Now that the full text of the news story, as published by BNAPS,
complete with Police File reference has been put on internet, notice
the conspicuous silence from TC, or should that be TP?

Has it crawled back under its' rock, now that the truth of the
original posting is now evident?

Hopefully, dealers will now take heed, and AVOID EDMONTON STAMP
SHOWS!!

Eric, your lack of concern for the loss of around $20,000 by Donald
Kaye is disturbing.

Just hope and pray that a similar fate will not befall you.

As for all the rest of the interested philatelists, AVOID EDMONTON
STAMP SHOWS, unless you want to have your items stolen!!

It will be difficult to obtain insurance for those participating
there, now that insurance companies are aware of the high risks to
those attending, and the many police files for thefts over several
years!!

The warning about EDMONTON STAMP SHOWS needs constant repeating, for
the protection of all those interested.

As for the clown who claimed the theft from Mr. Kaye was from a car,
he must be smoking some illegal substance, since nowhere in the
report,as in BNAPS, does it mention anything about such. Only that the
theft was from the show!!!

OK - either this poster:

1) has something to do with the stamps
2) obsesses compulsively
3) needs a medicine change

We have gotten the picture at least 10 - 15 posts ago. Do you think
you can go out to see a movie, go on a date, or mount some stamps for
a while instead of posting this drivel again and again and again... ?

It seems that J.Mc must be mentally challenged.
The header clearly refers to EDMONTON, so this slime interjects some
article referring to another city - Calgary!! Perhaps he is personally
involved with thefts that he wants to divert attention from the
repeated EDMONTON SHOW THEFTS? One must wonder why he is so
clueless....

Do try to stay on topic, so that people will not say that for sure,
you are an idiot J.Mc!!!

We've been given clues for 2 months now. Can we give the clues a
rest, or are you hell-bent from Sunday to chase down these thieves no
matter the cost?

Good for you, if you are! Now go catch them...

But - you are annoying the rest of us with repeat drivel. We heard
you the 15th time already. It won't sink in any deeper.

I don't think any of us will be out there on the street corner with a
sandwich sign, yelling this topic to the world.

"Edmonton Stamp Thieves Among Us. Prepare For Doom! Thew End Is
Near!"

Heh! I have better things to do.
