Just a quick update on what's going on with the calendar right now:

I've been able to fix a few bugs the past few days, as I've got a little
extra development time at work. I'll be building a new XPI soon, and
maybe a few more over the next little while.
The amount of patches from other people has increased lately, and I've
tried my best to make sure all the patches are getting in. Thanks very
much to everyone who's helping out. If I've missed any, please send me
an email at mi...@oeone.com
The calendar is ready to be included by default in the Mozilla builds.
We are currently under going a review process to get the code built by
default. Once that happens, its our hope that you'll be able to
download a Mozilla build that includes a calendar. For the next little
while there may be little visible progress on the calendar as we try and
clean up the code to get approved.

Things *are* moving forward.

Glad to hear Mike, I can speak for the calendar users and say a big thanks!

I wanted to simply post a simple usability 'bug': the sorting in the
tasks list does not remain 'sticky' when a new item is
added/modified/otherwise clicked 'OK'.

Thanks,
Jeremy

When you do attach a patch, mark it for review by mikep and if the bug
is assigned to you, change it back to Mike. Until built by default, I
don't think we have to worry about super review but if you know someone
who will do it, go for it.

Does this include Mozilla builds for Mac OS X. We are a Mac business
with only one PC. I would hate to have to keep going back to the PC just
to use calendar.

Yes, this includes Mozilla builds for Mac OS.
I believe it will work on OS 9 and OS X.

Are you tracking libical? The libical project is about to release
version 0.24. I have set up the FreeBSD version of Mozilla to link
against libical 0.24 and it seems to work just fine. It would really be
nice if you got rid of your internal version of libical and used the
version from the SourceForge project. Do you intend to do this?

Unfortunately we waited a long time for 0.24 to come out so we can use a
stable external version but that didn't happen and there is no
indication when it will. So we decided to accept the load of maintaining
an internal version instead, in change of having a stable and
non-conflicting libical library. However we have the intention to keep
the libical tree as close as possible to 0.24 once it comes out, until
then I encourage anyone interested, to try building calendar on there
preferred platforms and logging bugs for any problems encountered in the
build stage.
