I have got large files Named .FBCIndex which are pretty big.
Can I delete them? Hence are they of big importance?

Those are Sherlocks "Find By Content" index files. That is, if you want to
search for some document that contains the words "quick brown fox", Sherlock
looks in that index file to find it. That index file gets updated when you
index a folder or whatever using Sherlock. Those files may be deleted without
harm. You can also get Sherlock to delete them for you (File -> Delete Index
after selecting the drive/folder).
