>Let be fair and show Women status in the US-Led Westren hegemony communities
Oh yes. let's compare women cases in Arab vs, western countries
>.
>Now that women conceive to be in charge of their own affairs,
>does this mean that they have reached the pinnacle of gender equality?
Not in the twisted way you put it.
But women lost the shackles of Islam and this alone is a big deal
And women lost the fear they are always fearing when in an islamic
country, how big is this one when ""Honor killing"" by own father or
brother is all over the Islamic world. Can you honestly deny that?
>Has the "new woman"
>of today overcome the oppression and subjugation of the "bad old days"?
INDEED, INDEED, INDEED, ten times indeed
>Does the liberation of women signal the advent of a new, morally correct world?
If being the one man presonal whore, baby machine, the slave who is
afraid to her life, is a morally correct world, then you can have it
all for yourself Mister man.
>Has liberation achieved real emancipation and freed women from injustice?
INDEED INDEED INDEED many times indeed, but what you man will ever
know?
You were, and still are the rulers, and your woman slave all of a
sudden ran away and you don't know what to do...is it not mister man??
>Have we seen the last of oppression, infanticide, prostitution, rape,
In the Islamic world we haven't seen nor we will ever see the last of
those crimes against women and children as long as the likes of you
are in control of the people mind with the help of Al-Quran.
>divorce and single parent (usually single mother) families?
>
Those are personal tragedies that exist all over the world
AND MORE SO IN THE ARAB/ISLAMIC COUNTRIES, but no statistics on that
exist as you guys do not allow freedom of expression and all is hidden
from public view
M.Z.

This so- called honor killing not in Islam teaching , it is often tied to
the tradition , but remember , it is the same in the Westren societies
including US , the practice of honor killing exist in different name ,
Crimes of passion ......
How many women killed for breaking up her relation with boy freind or
husband ..
This is not true at all, and I am sure you are smart enough to tell
the difference but you are trying to be loyal to Islam more then loyal
to the truth.
Of course women are killed all over the world...but so are men killed
all over the world, each for many reason that are always different and
it has nothing to do with the ARABIC CURSE CALLED HONOR KILLING.
If a woman and a man are married or even common law and they separate
and one is desperate for the other, then the stronger will kill the
weaker, and not always it is the woman who get killed.
There are many women in prisons who killed their man for jealousy or
in desperation and other reasons.
But H O N O R ??? What is that anyway??
Whose honor are we talking about anyway? What is the business of the
Father or the brother if a woman L O O K E D to someone ?
How this affect the family honor?
And the woman body, who it belong to for heaven's sake ? What is
the bloody business of anyone who the woman befriend or even go to bed
with? For this she should be killed???
>HONOR KILLING IS AN ARAB/ISLAMIC/QURANIC DISEASE THAT ONLY MEN WANT IT
Admit it if you are honest and then go out and help opposing it
M.Z.
Do you know of an url dedictated to the fighting of honor killings??
Selima
(newbie)
Maybe there is but I don't.
What I do know is that the Jordanian government now is trying to
legislate something against it after some terrible killing by fathers
and brothers lately in Jordan that somehow reached the ears of the
idiots of the UN,
So this is all I know but keep looking for it I am sure there is
something.
However, even though it is not precisely about it, try this site and
take it from there:
<http://www.homa.org/punish.html>
M.Z.
I find it enlightening that you ask people to help fight honor killings and
don't know of an url where they can take action. So it might be save to
assume you are just attacking islam in general and not the honor killings.
In case you have not noticed: honor killings existed in pre- islamic times.
Therefore it simply can't be a quranic disease.
I did not find your url helpful at all. But thanks for replying anyway.
Selima
Where do you see me saying anything about islam ?
Who said it is a Quranic disease?
And if you talk about Pre-islamic times then it is so far back that
today it really make no difference.
It is about what happen today, in Jordan, and I have read about it in
the paper as I am not in Jordan.
Thanks for your interests, but not for your kind of reply!
