Hello Group,

is there any way to make Excel 2000 not to display the "Would you like
to enable the macros, trhere might be viruses..." screen on startup,
when opening a Workbook that contains makros? I've written an
application that has nothing to do with viruses and simply would like to
save the user from this nasty screen.

Who can help me?

Thank you very much in progress!

Justin

Tools | Options | General tab: uncheck "Macro virus protection"

(At least in XL97)

Kind regards,

Mike

Justin,

You can either convert your workbook to an addin, or use a
Digital Signature. Here's how:

1) Create yourself a digital signature/certificate. Look
up "Create your own digital certificate" in Excel help.

2) From your VB Editor, choose Tools/Digital Signature...
and then click Choose from the dialog.

When a new user loads your workbook for the first time,
they'll get a message saying "This contains code written
by Justin...etc" and asked if they want to always accept
code written by you.

HTH,
Dave.
