I think you should re-phrase your comment about myself and every new person
who comes to alt.native... I see lots of names that are new here, some I
have never conversed with... I DO get after the wannabes who come in here

like each other... he was fired.. why was he fired? Well, I dont think it is
up for me to tell too much about the sexual relationship that officer was
having with a "ahem* very young lady, who *ahem* was most likely under the
age of concent when the *ahem* sexual relationship began. That "former"
officer went to work for a small police department where he was again fired,
for *ahem* violating the rights of prisoners, meaning *ahem* he beat the
crap out of a kid who was speeding... he then went to work for a small
sheriff department, where *ahem* the sheriff refused to fire him for
harassing teenagers, so *ahem* the sheriff and this former officer both lost
their jobs... This former officer now works cleaning elephant poop at the
local zoo... So there is the credibility of the officer these people say
the spoke with..
Futher, if these people knew anything, muchless spoke with co-workers, they
would know my middle name never has been Squirrel. Heck, I think everyone
here knows my middle name is not Squirrel, and so why would co-workers not
know that? Gee, simple aye?
The last person who called the department and got to speak to an offical,
regreted their actions as well...
Department policy is not to release information on anyone who works there,
even gosip about employees is forbidden.... I do research for the
department, I am proud of the research I have done, and if you come to my
town, I would be happy to give you a tour of the department historial
areas... I also work on identifiying a unknown Jane Doe who was found in our
county in 1986, a victim of a homicide. I dont want to solve her murder,
only who she is, so that her family may know where she is, and that people
here, though we never knew her in life, cared about her in death...
Again, anyone here can call the department, they have in the past... it aint
hard, but becareful of what one may ask, you might not like the answer...

information obtainable via the former County Attorney Julie McKenna's
office.
2) The young lady in question had turned 16 years of age when the sexual
relationship was discovered, there is evidence that the young lady was 15
years old when the relationship began, HOWEVER she refused to admitt it
began then. State law for sexual concent is 16.
3) Its not gossip considering the whole case went to then County Attorney
Julie McKenna, the officer involved was fired, and admitted to his sexual
relationship, the girl admitted to the relationship, what would be gossip is
how the officers wife reacted to the news... and thats something I dont have

volumes of cemetery records. It appears that most of the records for
Miami
County related to the Miami, Wea, Peoria and Plyankicha tribes. Even
these
records are fairly sparce because the tribes apparently began to
relocate to
Pottawatomie Co, KS, in the late 1840's or early 1850's, although
there are
records for baptisms up till about 1861. Kinsella's book History of
the
Cradleland pp 237-244 lists baptisms, marriages, deaths but mostly
1846-1848.

Bob, take a lesson in US Civil War history, it is not at all like people see
on television or what was written into history books. The men of my tribe
fought for the Union.. protected their homes and families in a very hostile
area of Kansas... The best history on the Civil War will not be found in
books or movies, only in research and a lot of reading of the newspapers
from the time period, along with the records of the units/troops... Stories
of whole families of many races can be found. most stories much greater than
what they have made movies of...
Sunflower area is contaminated and needs cleaning up... a nucelar war head
was kept there many years during the cold war, and this is one of the
reasons why people are not allowed on the property... though I am sure most
of the land is safe, there are areas which are in question.
But the fact remains, I do not have to dig into records seeking some kind of
Indian in my family, they are all around me, we know where we came from, we
know who are ancestors are and we dont have to pretend that some unknown
woman in the 17th century had to be Mohawk....

USENET ETIQUETTE
USENET Etiquette is considered that set of actions and behaviors which allow
the enjoyment and utility of newsgroups by all participants. It is related to
"real life" etiquette in that it is a set of guidelines and not actual laws.
Abiding by USENET Etiquette will help ensure that your experience with
newsgroups is a pleasant one.
ONLINE CONDUCT
AOL members are expected to act in a manner appropriate to each newsgroup in
which they participate. Failure to do so is a violation of AOL's Terms of
Service and will result in disciplinary action if reported to AOL. Each
newsgroup has its own specific guidelines for conduct and it is the
responsibility of the member to familiarize him- or herself with these
guidelines before posting to a newsgroup. Many newsgroups contain
regularly-posted guidelines, charters or FAQs (documents with answers to
frequently asked questions). See BEFORE YOU POST and Netiquette: START HERE for
additional guidelines.
NEWSGROUP GUIDELINES
AOL does not permit the following activity within Newsgroups:
· CHAIN LETTERS
Posting chain letters of any kind is prohibited both on AOL and the USENET.
Chain letters asking for money are considered postal fraud when sent through
surface postal mail, and they are considered equally unacceptable on the
Internet. Most chain letters consist of a claim that the writer has netted a
significant amount of money (sometimes hundreds of thousands of US dollars), an
exhortation that the chain letter is legal (it is not: see the U. S. Postal
Service's web page on chain letters for more information), and then
instructions on how to participate in the chain letter. Many chain letters tell
the reader to post the chain letter to as many newsgroups as possible to ensure
their profits are maximized. This is a certain way to get your account canceled
if AOL is notified that you've posted a chain letter! Other chain letters
promise health and happiness or even threaten that the reader will suffer dire
consequences if he or she does not follow the letter's directions. Be safe and
NEVER post chain letters. Instead, report them to the administrator of the site
from which the letter was posted by sending to either postmaster@ <insert
domain name> or abuse@ <insert domain name>. The domain name can be obtained
from the Message ID line within the newsgroup post header.
· COMMERCIAL POSTINGS
There are tens of thousands of newsgroups carried on AOL and the Internet.
While many are similar to bulletin boards, virtually none accept commercial
postings. Newsgroups are used primarily for discussions; or in the case of
"binaries" newsgroups, for the distribution of documents such as sounds,
pictures and computer programs. Of those newsgroups containing "biz", "ads",
"business", et cetera in their Internet name, few if any are intended to be
used by companies or people representing companies -- instead, these newsgroups
are either for discussions about business (or specific businesses), products
and services; or for individuals to post "for sale" or "wanted" ads. Posting to
these newsgroups that you have (for example) an old car you wish to sell is
fine; posting for the car dealership where you work is not.
Commercial abuse of newsgroups is one of the most pervasive problems faced by
newsgroup participants today. As a member of AOL and the Internet community, it
is your duty and responsibility to make certain that a newsgroup in which you
wish to post a commercial ad or solicitation will welcome your article before
you post it. The presence of other ads in the newsgroup does NOT constitute
sufficient evidence that the group is commercially-oriented; nor does the
presence of "biz", "ads" or similar words in the newsgroup's name. If you're
not certain whether a group will accept your commercial posting, don't post it.
Thanks in large part to the proliferation of commercial postings, newsgroups
are a lousy way to find new customers.
· HARASSMENT, IMPERSONATION, FLAMING and TROLLING
The Internet is a fairly anonymous place; an unfortunate side-effect of this is
the ease with which people consider harassing others, flaming them or trolling
for flames. Harassing someone, either by posting deliberately offensive
messages or by trying to impersonate them, is unacceptable and will be
considered a serious violation of the Terms of Service if reported to AOL.
Flaming is the act of posting emotionally inflammatory messages, usually due to
a lack of restraint or a short temper. Reviewing what you plan to post to a
newsgroup, particularly when you are agitated or upset, is an excellent way to
avoid flaming. Trolling is the act of posting messages that are intentionally
crafted to enrage or draw someone into flaming; trolling is also a Terms of
Service violation.
· ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES
Posting material considered illegal under the laws of the United States of
America is a violation of the AOL Terms of Service and will be swiftly dealt
with when reported to AOL. These activities include posting copyrighted
software, child pornography, death threats and others. Postings such as these
may result in criminal or civil prosecution as well as disciplinary action
within the AOL service. AOL takes reports of these types of messages extremely
seriously.
· OTHER INAPPROPRIATE POSTS
AOL reserves the right to action other posts determined to be inappropriate to
include, without limitation: spam, forgeries, and off-topic discussions.
Each newsgroup has its own set of regulations and guidelines for conduct. Any
member reported for having violated these regulations will be considered for
disciplinary action. Remember that it is your responsibility to learn the rules
of each group in which you participate or plan to before you post. Lack of
awareness of the "local rules" is not an excuse for breaking them. One general
rule is that postings to a newsgroup should remain associated with the topic
discussed on the newsgroup: in rec.pets.cats you should find postings relating
to domestic cats; in rec.autos.tech, postings related to the technical aspects
of automobiles. The degree to which posts can stray from the topic is up to the
moderator or participants of the group. AOL will make a good faith effort to
determine the validity of claims of off-topic posts when they are reported as
Terms of Service violations.
AOL'S SCOPE OF CONTROL OVER NEWSGROUP MESSAGES
· Any article posted with an origination address ending in "aol.com" or
"aol.net" is considered to fall under the purview of AOL and AOL can, at its
discretion, issue cancels or other administrative messages to remove those
posts from newsgroups.
· Any AOL member found in violation of USENET Etiquette or the AOL Terms of
Service through a posting made from another online service provider is
considered in violation of the Terms of Service and subject to disciplinary
action, this includes:
· posting from other ISPs and forging headers to either make the message appear
to originate from or point replies back to AOL
· postings in which the member's AOL address is used as a "drop box"
· postings made using third-party newsgroups software while the member is
connected to AOL and has been provided a dynamic IP address within the
"IPT.AOL.COM" domain
· postings referring to an AOL member's web page.
· postings in violation of USENET Etiquette or the AOL Terms of Service which
reference Internet domains where the InterNIC registry shows an AOL member as
the Administrative, Billing or Technical contact; or which can be traced to an
AOL member by any means are considered violations of the AOL Terms of Service
and the member will be subject to appropriate disciplinary action.
· Any article posted to AOL specific Newsgroups not sent out to the Internet.
CONSEQUENCES OF VIOLATIONS
If, after receiving and reviewing a report of USENET Etiquette or an AOL Terms
of Service violation by an AOL member, AOL determines that a violation has
occurred, AOL reserves the right to take (or not take) action. These actions
may include the cancellation of some or all newsgroup postings by the member;
the revocation of the ability to read or post to newsgroups; issuance of a
Terms of Service warning; or the termination of the member's account. AOL can,
at its sole discretion and in accordance with the AOL Terms of Service,
terminate a member's account for any reason at any time. AOL is not obligated
to reinstate any account so terminated.
REPORTING NEWSGROUP VIOLATIONS
To report an instance of an AOL member violating the AOL Terms of Service, send
a complete copy of the message -- including all headers -- to ab...@aol.net.
If you are reporting messages where the association with an AOL member is not
immediately apparent, please include additional documentation showing how the
AOL member is responsible for the message.
MESSAGE CANCELLATION
If you have posted a message to a newsgroup and realize after the fact that you
posted a message before it is complete, to the wrong Newsgroup, or simply by
mistake, you have the ability to delete the post.

California became the first state to pass anti-stalking laws.
According to the criminal laws, "a stalker is someone who willfully,
maliciously and repeatedly follows or harasses another victim and who
makes a credible threat with the intent to place the victim or
victim's immediate family in fear for their safety" (Privacy Rights
Clearinghouse).
One LAPD source said that Bardo had stalked her for a long time. But
this stalking was unusual. Bardo had tracked Schaeffer using computer
data banks that told him where she lived, her telephone number, whom
she called, what kind of car she drove, and where she shopped. Bardo
may have been physically distanced from his obsession but the computer
electronically made him feel near to her.
At about this time, mass popularity of the Internet arose and a new
form of stalking, through the World Wide Web emerged. Bardo missed by
months the much easier access to personal information afforded today's
harassers by the Internet. Stalking and harassment are crimes that
many people are familiar with in real life, but these problems can
also occur on the Internet.
Cyberstalking or online harassment is an electronic extension of the
real life form of stalking that Robert John Bardo made famous. As a
reaction to this new crime many Internet victims have been stricken
with fear. Today, it is through awareness and education that users are
protecting themselves from cyberstalkers to avoid the escalation to
real life stalking which Rebecca Schaeffer experienced with Robert
John Bardo.
Stalking has often been described as an issue of control: their
control of you. Awareness begins with realizing the solution is to
reverse this situation and take back control. Often victims of
Cyberstalking do not take the problem seriously until it becomes a
case of real life stalking. People listen in the real world when you
tell them you're being stalked by a crazed maniac. Their response to
such a crime in the cyber world is "turn off the computer?" or "If you
can't handle that kind of thing, then don't surf the net!!".
People assume "it's just a bunch of words. How can this affect me?"
Online harassment can get to the point where your harasser bombards
you with messages of hate and obscenity and eventually traces your
home phone number and address, bringing Cyberstalking into the real
world. Today,there is an increasing number of cases where the stalking
of a person begins through the Internet and eventually escalates into
real world stalking.
Cyberstalking can take many forms. Unsolicited e-mail, including hate,
obscene, or threatening mail, is probably one of the most common forms
of harassment. Live chat harassment abuses the victim directly through
electronic sabotage (e.g.- flooding your Internet chat channel to
disrupt your conversation).
With Usenet or news groups, the cyberstalker can create postings
about you or start evil rumors which spread through this bulletin
board. More complex forms of harassment include mailbombs, sending the
victim virii or electronic junk mail (spamming). But remember these
highlighted forms of cyberstalking, can easily escalate into real life
stalking incidents such as threatening phone calls, vandalism of your
property, threatening mail and even physical attacks
In relation to Usenet news groups consider using an anonymous remailer
(or E-mail alias service) to post messages to the Usenet. You can draw
unwelcome attention to yourself if you post messages to news groups on
the Usenet - by posting such material you are also posting your E-mail
address. Consider using an anonymous remailer so that you can post
anonymously to the Usenet. Although posts are deleted from the News
server after a short period of time, posts are often stored in the
Usenet's archives, which means anyone at a later date can read all the
posts you ever made, by using a Usenet search engine. With an
anonymous remailer this danger is eliminated.
In compiling research for this paper one of the most important
recommendations made was to use common sense. It was advised for users
to realize that they should assume all their online communications are
public unless otherwise stated. Users should be aware that the
'delete' command does not mean the information disappears, it easily
accessible by others. In addition, the more the user knows about the
equipment they are using on the Internet, the less likely they are to
fall prey to online harassment.
Cyberstalking is a relatively new form of electronic crime. Its
victims are mostly invisible and its violence is primarily verbal. Yet
to often online harassment escalates into real life stalking, where
its victims are largely female and its crimes can include murder.
It is through awareness and education that many Internet users are
now trying to prevent cyberstalking from escalating into real life
stalking. Barbara Jenson states in her article, Cyberstalking,Crime,
Enforcement and Personal Responsibility In The On-Line World, that
victims of online harassment should remember "stick and stones" when
dealing with the verbal assaults that their cyberstalkers launch.
Unfortunately, for many victims such as Rebecca Schaeffer she never
had the opportunity to realize that Robert John Bardo had moved beyond
"sticks and stones".

me in the past, *and* encouraged others to stalk and attempt to attack
me. I see he hasn't changed much--- if so, he's changed for the worse,
