We have a medium-large application based on ACE and have a need to bring in
components based on 3rd-party software. We would like to use PACE as the
porting medium for these 3rd-party components and then base our ACE builds
on PACE.

Could somebody give me a sense of the stability of PACE for Solaris and
VxWorks targets? Are the PACE builds tested with the same frequency and
qualified in the same manner as the non-PACE builds? Is anyone using PACE on
ACE on the aforementioned targets with good result?

Thanks,

John

Hi John,

PACE has been ported and tested on Solaris, Linux and LynxOS. PACE
does not have the extensive testing suite that ACE users have come to
know and love. To date, we have been testing PACE by gettin ACE to
pass its own tests when built over PACE.

NT does not present a POSIX compliant API and many of the posix calls
are not completely emulated yet.

No one is currently porting PACE to VXWorks.

Thanks,
