From time to time I see references to a FIBS droppers web page. Since
half the time that I see people posting here about droppers, they seem
to be either illiterate or on drugs, or both, so I haven't paid much
attention. Also, for most of the nine months that I've played on FIBS,
I've had very little trouble -- other than with one clown who I've since
learned is rather notorious.

Lately, however, I've been dropped more than I care to be, and so my
question: those of you who are regular contributors here especially,
what do you think of the droppers web page? Is it reasonably reliable?
If so, would someone please tell me the URL?

Thanks.

I used to check it, but I don't really anymore. It's certainly not going
to stop some random from dropping you, of course.

If there's someone listed more than once on the droppers page, then I am
wary of playing that person. However, I know there are people listed on
the droppers page who are actually honest. There was a bit a little while
back where droppers would accuse the people they dropped, so that both
players appeared on the page.

Overall, I think it's worth checking the page, and the experience of the
accuser and the accused. It's not even close to a perfect guide,
though.

This is why I have started to develop RepBot. It is meant to
help make quick decisions about who not to play with. It
takes input, and based upon the inputters experience, adjusts
someone's reputation.

I hope to have it debugged in a week or two and ready for
deployment. Unfortunately, it's a background toy project.
any help is appreciated. I perhaps should figure out how to
make it an open source project. If it works out, I would
like to have it hosted by fibs.com, but I'm getting way
ahead of myself. It's a technical and social experiment,
but then again, fibs is too ;)

For more information, type: "whois RepBot" next time you
are on FIBS, or see
