| It’s a New Season! |  Life is a collection of seasons and the seasons are not the same everywhere. Life is a book with chapters, divisions and themes. Some books have excellent covers but uninspiring plots. Refuse to be stuck on the same chapter. Open a new page in the new season.
Some seasons are dull, yet others are bright and beautiful. It is not the season that matters but your attitude to the season. What you do with the season you are in will determine the worth of the season. Its a new season, filled with promise. Embrace the season and prepare for great things. What you do matters! | Think Impact
Doing old things in a new season is not interesting. Perpetuating boredom is not a wise way of living. Reading the same story in a new chapter is not progressive writing. Write a new chapter in your life's tapestry and timeline. Think about the impact that you would like to make in this new season. Unless you commit to some positive results your energies will not be focused and your faith will not be anchored.
Imagine that this new year or your life is not past, how would you like to be remembered? What impact will you have made? Once you have this picture of the impact you would like to make, get on with the business of worthy living. Take radical action. Impact does not happen when you are doing nothing. Time is a limited resource, deploy your time in a worthy manner. Get out there and happen somewhere and on something worthwhile. Dream Anew
The experiences of life should never stop you from dreaming of new possibilities and thinking new things. Dream, dream big, dream again and dream new dreams. See beyond your grasp of today. Dream of something that looks impossible and commit to making the dreams real. Be known by your many dreams. Until you dream there is no vision or worthy mission. Until you wake up and pursue the dream until it is begging for mercy there will be no new creation. Dream new possibilities in this new season. Old dreams of disappointment are just nightmares you should forget. Dream anew and refuse to be haunted by the experiences and adversities of the past. Add new light and life to your dreams and life will not be the same. Dream new dreams for the new season. New season, new book. Go Somewhere
Travel is nature's university. To be born, and live within a limited geographical space is to be confined in a prison of your making. This is not for you in this new season. Think of at least one place that you have never been to and make a goal to travel there this year. Why should your life be confined only to reading and hearing about places when you can go there in person. It is not impossible, it just starts with the desire you have. Travel opens your mind and broadens you thoughts. Burning desire, drives progress.
There are many ways to travel. Travel physically, mentally and spiritually. Never camp on an experience and build a religion around it. Travel in this new season. Be a traveller and pilgrim of promise. Greatness is not a destination but a journey. Commit to Reading
It is amazing how easy it is to become illiterate in a world bursting at the seams with new knowledge. Commit to reading. Read widely and wisely. If you do not read you do not have any advantage over someone who is illiterate. Reading broadens and stretches your mind and life. A mind that does not read is confined to darkness. If you do not commit to reading you may never read.
Reading only to face exams is to treat reading like a chore. Read for pleasure, read for enlightenment, read to learn and read for exposure. By all means read, and do so widely. With a steep learning curve you will always be improving daily. Make a bookstore a key destination every few days. Renovate or Innovate
In this season look for something in your life that is rusty and dusty and renovate it. Go beyond mere renovation and innovate. Destroy the old and dying and let the new come forth in the new season. Write a new book of your life.
I wish you a most pleasant 2014. Do more great things. Move further. Think bigger. Walk faster. Dream more, talk less, do more. Do something that you have never done. Committed to your greatness.
