Must Haves Skills :
5+ years of relevant experience OR Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
Development of Sharepoint solutions using C# to integrate with a SQL database
Excel applications
Excellent communication
Strong Sharepoint in VBA experience

 

Day to Day:
Develop a custom SharePoint solution using C# that integrates with a SQL database. The project is based upon an existing Excel application that automates the creation of training plans. The goal of this project is to translate this Excel application to a SharePoint front-end that allows users to enter the necessary information/criteria, generate the training plan, and stores the data for future reporting. There are currently over 150 spreadsheets and it is difficult to update and maintain the data entered. Important information is lost and by now utilizing the Sharepoint site, they can avoid this problem. This person needs to have excellent communication because they will be communicating the daily progress and updates to both the Business side and development teams. They will also need to implement feedback given to them from various groups.
