as you may have noticed, I have been rather quiet recently. For the most part, this is the direct result of some health issues I'm currently facing (eye problems paired with migraines). At first I thought that this would be a minor/brief annoyance, but it turns out that things are more serious and that I'll have to take a longer break from anything which makes me sit in front of a computer monitor for extended periods of time. Parallel to this, some life changes are occurring so that I'll have to make some more changes to adjust to these changes.
The net result is that I'll be gone from core development for probably 6-9 months. In terms of work, I still have a few minor zikula projects which are in development and somehow need finishing, but I will have to re-align my work priority along the lines of project management, etc which is less stressful to my eyes.
Bottom line: I'm still here but temporarily out of the loop; I plan to return. In the meantime, please keep Zikula alive and make smart decisions for it; focus on keeping module development simple and clean and avoid pies-in-the-sky for only theoretical reasons. If anybody would like to take over my Doctrine2-DBUtil version for possible integration into the core, please drop me a line. ZWebstore will continue to be available and occasional development will be done on it. I may be around from time to time to ask a 1.3 question just so I can finish the projects I still have open but other than that I will be quite until my condition improves.
