I haven't heard any updates but came across a different solution
today. ArcSquirrel ( www.arcsquirrel.com ) allows ArcGIS 9.2+ direct
connect to SQL Server 2008 native spatial. Price is similar to ZIGGIS
and the demo version was easy to load and use.
