I have downloaded ZigGis 1.1 from the website listed in the email sent
to the postgis mailing list, and when I try and install (by
double-clicking on the setup.exe file in the extracted zip) the
installation fails with the following error, after asking where I want
the files to live, and if I want it for everyone or just me:
Unable to get installer types in C:\Program
Files\Pulp\ZigGis\Pulp.ArcGIS.ZigGis.Button.dll assemby. --> Unable to
load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions
property for more information.
I am using Windows XP SP2, and ArcGIS 9.0. Any thoughts?
Many thanks
Jo

You need the arcobjects components to be installed when you first
install arcgis. They only get offered if you have the microsoft dotnet
1.1 framework before you install arcgis. So the only way to get
everything installed is to uninstall arcgis completely, install
microsoft dotnet 1.1, reinstall arcgis, choose the custom installation
and make sure you check the arcobjects box. I put some more detailed
instructions on my blog if you want to take a look:

postgis/
Hope this helps,

>From what is written there it looks there is not need to reinstall
ArcGis Desktop after installing the .net framework (as it can be
understood from the esri support forums)
