Significance of Rajab

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rajab is one of the four most sacred months of Islamic Calendar. Prophet Mohammad(sawaw) has said that whoever fasts one day in Rajab will earn the pleasure of Allah(swt).
Imam Ali(a.s.) has said that whoever fasts on the first day, middle or last day of Rajab then his or her sins will be forgiven by Allah(swt).
Imam Jafer Sadiq(a.s.) has said that whoever fasts 3 days in Rajab he/she will be rewarded for one year of fasts for each day and whoever fasts for 8 days in Rajab will have an easy day of judgment and whoever fasts for the entire month of Rajab then Allah(swt) will earn the everlasting pleasure of Allah(swt).
If one cannot fast then one should recite these tasbeehat every day 100 times:
SUBHANAL ILAHIL JALEELE SUBHANA MAN LA YANBAGHIT TASBEEHU
ILLA LAHU SUBHANAL AA-AZZIL AKRAMI
SUBHANA MAL LABISAL IZZA WA HUWA LAHU AHLUN
It is highly recommended to take bath on the 1st, 15th and last night of this month. There is a lot of reward for reciting Sura Tawheed (Qul ho allahu ahad) 100 times on the first Friday of this month.
A special namaz has been recommended on this night as follows: 20 rakats in sets of 2 each. In each rakat recite Sura Hamd and then Sura Tawheed.
Another special namaz is recommended for the night of the 15th Rajab as follows: 12 rakats in sets of 2 each. Recite Sura Hamd and any other sura after it in each rakat. After completing each set recite 4 times each of Sura Hamd, Sura Tawheed, Sura Falaq, Sura Naas and Ayatul Kursi then recite 4 times SUBHANALLAHE WAL HAMDO LILLAHE WA LA ILAHA IL ALLAHE WALLAHO AKBAR and finally recite ALLAHO ALLAHO RABBI LA USRIKU BIHI SHAYAN – MA SHA ALLAHU WA LA QUWWATA ILLA BILLAH.
